Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

wish sometimes that Salah would pass through to Mane instead of shooting

Origi all the way back there defending, fair play

Fabinho is bloody quick. What a player he is turning out to be.

Yeah, he's getting better and better.

Fab is the perfect mix of Alonso and Mascherano

I know Watford aren’t exactly Man City, but Origi deserves a lot more involvement in this team, with or without Firmino. Could yet be an important impact sub for us this season, he offers a lot even without the goals.

Not so much the mix as the midpoint between them.

Trent’s crossing will be on Pornhub later tonight.

I hope PSG don't come looking for that loan move.

Fabinho has been outstanding tonight so far, Trent and Salah great too

Yeah, reminds me more of Viera than either Alonso or Mascherano.

With a bit of Momo Sissoko's long-legged physicality in there as well. All we need is a few Gerrard thunderbastard goals from him, and he'll be the whole 'best midfield in the world' in one package :P

    With the physique of Sissoko.

He’s our 2007 midfield in one person.

Working his bollocks off out there. I say it every time he plays but that clown absolutely ruined the early part of his career with that shocking tackle.

    Damm great by Salah

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 22,477 ✭✭✭✭Knex*

This has been a joy to watch. We even have the pantomime villain in Deulofeu

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 5,081 ✭✭✭Fromvert

Playing fantastic stuff, was unsure of the starting 11 but this is the best we've played in a while.

Another great ball by Trent to Salah.

If Origi can keep this up now he might just have a big role of the next couple of months.

Well done Matip - dangerous stuff.

Totally agree, he was looking like a world class centre forward in the making until that absolute thug went in hard on him. Hopefully he can find a way back from it, he definitely hasn’t lost his pace at least.

    Wake up call there.

Need another goal to put this to bed.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 22,477 ✭✭✭✭Knex*

It's a massive comfort/relief seeing Mane being able to play the central role, Salah playing well our right, and the attack not suffering majorly without Firmino.

Glad we didn't got back to the Salah through the middle, 4-5-1 tactic.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 22,477 ✭✭✭✭Knex*

Foster stopped that going to Mane!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 736 ✭✭✭Doff

That would have been goal of the season by far.

City with only 1 shot on target against West Ham. 9 off target. Lovely.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 32,024 ✭✭✭✭~Rebel~

oh my god that would've been an unbelievable goal!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 12,775 ✭✭✭✭Gbear

Oh **** me blind that was nearly our goal of the season.

Unbelievable play there, what a ball from Salah!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 6,662 ✭✭✭Luckycharms_74

That last move was filthy . Just pity on Robbo final ball

Almost positive Foster got a hand to it and sent the ball backwards and away from Mane.

Trent is flawed defensively, obviously, since he's still ridiculously young, but Christ the difference he makes in attack.

Different team. Utterly. Because the defensive unit has to worry about both full backs so the game is that bit more stretched.

West Ham - 18% possession and no shots at all. I wouldn't be confident of anything happening with those numbers!

Heavy from Mane there. Bit better aand Mo was in.

Judging from Liverpool performances in previous years, that would mean West Ham are nailed on to score a scrappy winner? ........Right? :o

Brilliant half, look back at their December standard of play.

Nice to see the lads back playing as they should....what was on their cornflakes this morning???? Cause whatever it was.....every match morning from now on.

Great to see TAA back....playing great stuff and Origi certainly offering something different up front.

Mane scored 15 goals this season. Not bad for a member of the supporting cast.

Brilliant half. Everyone playing their part, mane should have 3 or 4.

It's carnage. City just can't shoot yet. Once they do, it could be 3 or 4.

Incredible half from Fabinho. He's really come into form lately. Was our best player against United too.
