Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Delighted to see Origi starting, really hope he can prove himself as genuine competition to Firmino for the remainder of the season.

    Can't see this tbh.

Maybe as a genuine backup but Firmino is on a different planet with regards ability, work rate, goalscoring and fits better in the system.

    Toby have a drink ;)

In the last 10 seasons he has scored 25 once while playing beside the best player in the world that season.

His next best season is 13 goals in a season the next best after that is 11 goals in a season.

My god, its like Toby posted that from five years ago.

We will need to weather the early storm from Everton and hopefully the weather won't effect whether we win this match or not, 3 points needed whether it's pretty or not.

Can’t believe two people fell for it.

Fairly sure you posted elsewhere that Klopp should stop talking about weather, no?

Not just the weather, the grass, the game schedule etc. This, along with picking Henderson and late subs are my three peeves when it comes to the manager.

Good, good, so you agree with me.

All players are going to have to show up today, cant afford to carry anyone at this stage of the season......will need Salah on top form and Henderson/Gini will have to keep the midfield tight. Origi I think will give us some strengt physically up front so that should give them another problem.

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,843 ✭✭✭dmigsy

    Peeves about Klopp? Fcuk me...

Sensible team selection imo. Henderson / Milner was probably the hardest decision. Win the battle in midfield to dominate the ball and keep the crowd quiet. Goodison will turn on their team and manager fairly quickly if it doesn't look like going their way so a good start is important.

Both teams playing with two holding mids, biggest worry is Gylfi, Henderson and Fab just need to deal with him between the two of them and not let him get lost for a second.

  • Registered Users Posts: 3,803 ✭✭✭Benzino

    Henderson, entirely predicable. :(

As much as I'd like to see more of Keita, I don't think Klopp's trusts him enough yet, and would prefer one of Hendo or Miller in there instead. Feel there will be a lot of rotation between those two for the rest of the season.

Its one pf the toughest away games we have. Klopp is correct. Can always bring on more attackers to open the game up

Good options on the bench and a good line up......happy with the selection....

We should really be seeing what the LFC manager and squad can do now, IMO.
Rather then hoping Leicester take points off Man City.

No team in history wants to rely on winning 10 games in a row.

All about will power now, hope we see everyone with the intent of trying to score instead of leaving it to Mane or Salah and if they don't score we lose or take the draw, WTF.
Virgil, Matip ,Gini Henderson, Fabinho step the fck up, put points on the board if Mane or Salah can't !

I'd rather Milner over Henderson again for one reason and one reason only he can put in a proper hard fair tackle.

Sadly Milner doesn't have two games a week in his legs anymore.

Klopp said Milner was feeling his hamstring the last few days. Surprised he's made the bench if that's the case.

As much fun as it's been in the past few games against Everton I'd really appreciate it if we scored a winner before the 90th minute this time :o

See the U23's are playing their derby tomorrow - anyone know if the U23's are being televised anymore? Last time I tried, couldn't find a stream in all the usual places - with their match tomorrow and Friday against the actual Derby, just wondering if there's a chance of watching Ox play.

    Should be on LFCTV

Milner unlucky to lose out today. I still think he can cope with multiple games as a midfielder but at his age it's easier to spot when he's not 100%.

    Some ball by Hendo there

I'd swap origi and mane tbh

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 21,495 ✭✭✭✭martyos121

Salah of last season would’ve buried that 10 times out of 10.

    Salah unlucky there

Seriously wtf is wrong with salah

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 15,775 ✭✭✭✭Slattsy

    That's pathetic from Salah. Pressure.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 28,546 ✭✭✭✭murpho999

Something off with Salah lately. Touch not as refined as before and that led to him making the chance more missable.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 19,932 ✭✭✭✭Osmosis Jones

Fcukin hell lads it was a good effort and a good save

hmmm how was that offside when the ball went forward off of the Everton player

When Salah has an off day like he has so far it's the equivalent of when milk goes bad.

I wouldn't go that far. It was a poor touch that made it more difficult. Nothing to do with pressure.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 26,508 ✭✭✭✭noodler

Wish he had more awareness, looked an easy slide across for mane to tap in.

Once he had took it far too wide anyway.

Maybe if Gini doesn’t improve. One of those away days when you wouldn’t even know he’s out there.
But HT isn’t the time to make such a change.

    Salah did brilliantly there.

    Better from Salah.

Gini been poor. Henderson been fabulous.
