Two of their attackers are keeping Henderson, Wijnaldum and our two CB's quiet because neither are willing to make a run, the midfield just seems happy to pass the ball and stand in the exact same spot waiting to receive it from the CB's.

The issue is obvious.

Gini and Hendo don't move, and so Shaq is all Brighton have to worry about driving from the midfield 3.

Can't get Salah in the game, who creates the majority of our space and chances.

There was one moment at around the 41 min mark, gonna find it when the replay is available because it annoyed me so much.

Robertson is being doubled around the halfway line, passes to Henderson who has about 15 yards of space in front of him in midfield but instead of turning into it he immediately passes it back to Robertson being doubled, who then has to give it back to the CBs.

Move Fab up and let VVD play CB on his own at least then the midfield would a player with vision and a footballing brain in it.

Funny reading some posts, as if it’s all about one player.

Murray is the only one they have forward. We have two CDFs and a mid in that position. So they’ve 10 behind the ball, and we’ve 7 options for Gini/Hendo when they are on the ball. As soon as they play it to either FB, they are under pressure, and they play it backwards. Same when they play it into the middle, it comes right back.

Our CDFs need to step up with the ball and pull one of their players out of position. They haven’t, so it’s being the odd ping’d ball that’s opened they up.

If the CDFs don’t step up, they you need Gini/Hendo to beat a man and draw someone out. Gini did that shortly before halftime and we created some space for an attack. With Shaq playing forward, it’s a 2 man mid, and their options have been limited.

If we keep doing what we’re doing, it’s going to be easy for Brighton and we’ll be hoping for a moment of magic or a lucky break.

Even just swap Henderson and Fabinho. Would happily risk being more exposed at the back if it means not to have to watch another sideways pass. WTF like!

I was about to post about this, the obvious move was to go forward with the ball. I roared at the telly when that happened.

Firmino missed a great chance from Robertson's cross.

I don't think Liverpool are playing rubbish every time they're not winning.

This is a tough game, just need midfield to be more creative and get the forwards, particularly Salah in the game more.

Patience required.

I've always hated that about Henderson, you could put 5 miles of free space in front of him and he won't take one step into it.

So surely klopp is a poor coach then if he cant manage to explain it too him?
