Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Good strike, not even Alisson saves that.

I think Mignolet's position was wrong and he also reacted very late.

Get a shot on target and you'll always have a chance against Mig.....tbf, it was a great strike....

    Jones needs to come off.

Playing in an unnatural position for him (really a No8/10), who would come on?

    Migs had no chance lads
Jones is a kid but hes been so so bad gives it away eber time he gets it

Mignolet should have at least extended his arm.

Very slow to dive. Can only think his view was blocked.

Maybe giving him too much credit.

Jones played a desperate ball trying to go around a Wolves player 2 minutes ago and gives it away, does it again in a similar position. Will have to see a replay to know if Mignolet should have saved it.

It does seem I’m in the minority here alright, will have to look at it again later.

In fairness that was a great strike do not think it was savable

I think Mignolet and Moreno are playing in unnatural positions too

Keita has been anonymous so far too.

Shame really as i thought he'd shine tonight

Preferably someone who won’t pass everything to a Wolves player.

Need to see it again myself but I don't think it was unstoppable.

Moreno isn’t even good going forward, Robbo would’ve gotten on the end of that.

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,522 ✭✭✭Pepp1989

How did Moreno become a Prof footballer? Serious q. Was he halfway decent before we got him?

Bar pace I can't think of one decent asset.

I say he was expecting a shot at the far post but the player cut across the ball to go for the near post so was caught out that way but it was a great strike and i dont think any keeper would have got it

There's some weird perception that "he can't defend but he's great going forward" which is just totally unfounded.

Sturridge and Shaqiri have done the total sum of nothing all game.....

Hoever, Jones and Camacho are making lots of schoolboy errors.

Not strong. Doesn't have good positional sense. Not a great left peg. Don't get it.

Sturridge seems to be moving as far away from the ball that he can.

Mig was positionally off, had it been Alisson I'd probably make an excuse for him....just a good goal.....you have to close down Neves, the lad can shoot....

Yup. Salah and Firmino were on quicksmart when things were looking iffy against Burnley.

  • Registered Users Posts: 11,067 ✭✭✭✭martingriff

    That wasn't unstoppable.

Aint replays and been able to see it again and again great. 2 bad footballers do not have that during a game. Not saying Migs is not crap he is but for this 1 I would not be blaming him

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 12,983 ✭✭✭✭NukaCola

Jones telling Moreno where to run probably sums him up tbh....

Unfortunately in a crap makeship defense would love if he had Matip/Gomez or Van Dyke around him

    but should we

No it was a good goal, no real mistake at all, if I'm harsh he should have been able to get closer......

Him & Shaqiri I'm fairly disappointed with....sturridge less so as he's not a potential regular.
He needs to show a lot more than what he has so far. Few nice touches but little else.
