Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Think we will have to be happy with a point....if we get one.

5 points is better than 4 and one less game for City to close the gap

Dire performance this. Important not to lose it now.

Dont think the pre match snow has helped. Slowed the pitch right down.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 15,404 ✭✭✭✭Vicxas

    Where was this all match

  • Administrators Posts: 54,111 Admin ✭✭✭✭✭awec

Why did it take til the 91st minute for us to start this sort of pressure?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 21,503 ✭✭✭✭martyos121

    Maguire MOTM?!

Fcuk off Steve, you bloody Jenas.

He should have been sent off for that challenge on Mane

Gained a point on City but it feels like we’ve lost points on them.

Terrible tonight, still a point more ahead of City than anyone would have thought after these games, but still, really bad tonight.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 22,295 ✭✭✭✭citytillidie

So why did he not do that in the 1st half when the ball went outside the box and blow the whistle

After last night's result... at Anfield, against a poor team in Leicester, tonight's performance nothing short of embarrassing.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 36,488 ✭✭✭✭BorneTobyWilde

A point towards the goal in May.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 5,081 ✭✭✭Fromvert

Very poor second half, lucky not to lose it given the chances Leicester had.

    Oh well, five points clear.

Gained a point on city. Can't complain

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,523 ✭✭✭Pepp1989

Fabinho is so important now to our midfield. His appearance really improved things.

Fans really need to cop on. If they continue being this tense and nervous we haven't a hope. We are 5 points clear. Relax and support the team.

  • Registered Users Posts: 11,611 ✭✭✭✭ERG89

Can't remember a last 20 minutes as dead as these considering the importance. Hugely disappointing performance. Fortunate for the point but the pressure hasn't even been put on us yet & we produce that

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 12,693 ✭✭✭✭machiavellianme

I hate Leicester as much as I hate Crystal Palace. Rotten the lot of them.

  • Administrators Posts: 54,111 Admin ✭✭✭✭✭awec

    That second half was abysmal.

    Absolutely **** the bed.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 7,410 ✭✭✭facehugger99

    Fcuk it anyway.

5pts though. Would have taken it before these mid week fixtures.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 19,952 ✭✭✭✭Osmosis Jones

Books someone for time wasting in extra time... still blows the whistle at 94'

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 22,295 ✭✭✭✭citytillidie

This is why Liverpool fans here are saying the league is not over

Well I suppose it's a measure of the season that a 1-1 draw to an always tricky away side is considered a bad night at the office - though in footballing terms it was with a serious lack of speed and intent.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 12,775 ✭✭✭✭Gbear

Given the opposition, the state of the pitch and the ref ****ing us at every opportunity thats grand really.

Won't have to deal with that ****e every week.

The anxiety from the fans was so frustrating tonight.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 5,308 ✭✭✭Pyjamarama

We weren't ****. We weren't particularly good either though. An average performance. Can't win them all. Should have had a peno and been playing against 10 men for 50 minutes though.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 6,438 ✭✭✭j8wk2feszrnpao

Terrible performance. Tough to say anyone played really well. Mane took his goal well, but then missed a great chance to make it 2:0.
Never really threatened to score after a good start. Definitely 2pts dropped. Stupid moment by Andy cost us big time.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 11,348 ✭✭✭✭ricero

Jasus the ref didn't wait till long to blow his whistle.

Disappointed to not get the win but 5 clear of city is better than 4.

Conditions I feel played a big part tonight especially in the first half. Fabinho has to start every game. We looked much better when he came on in second half.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 9,068 ✭✭✭Tipsy McSwagger

Keita is brutal, should not start anymore games.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 4,945 ✭✭✭dogbert27

Pitch was absolutely dire and contributed.

Crowd singing now. Needed that during game.

Ref and linesmen screwed us over a number of times.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 19,952 ✭✭✭✭Osmosis Jones

One point better off than we were two days ago, and one fewer game remaining. Not amazing but not the end of the world.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 26,510 ✭✭✭✭noodler

It's nights like tonight that make me think we might not do it.

Doesn't feel like we've extended the lead at all.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,349 ✭✭✭Zak Flaps

I really thought the signing of Keita was going to make a huge difference this year. I was way wrong.

Could have been better could have been worse.....5 points clear, great opportunity wasted to go 7 clear but we weren't really at it.

Strange game but a point isn't a disaster, not great but fine for now.
