Monitor for photo editing recommendation-budget €300ish

Hi,
I'm looking for a monitor for photo editing. I've been using my old laptop and what I print differs from what I see on my laptop screen. I understand I could get a colour calibrator but plan on replacing the laptop soon-ish & also understand that a monitor should be calibrated.

Even with a new laptop I like editing on a large screen (used a 27" screen for a while and loved it).

So, what would you recommend please? Doesn't have to be 27" but nice f if could be.
Hopefully there's still some good bargains in the January sales.

Some I've seen so far:

Dell have this
-u2419hc 23.8", just under €300.

This 27" Dell-S2719DM if I stretch my budget slightly.

I have a 24" curved Samsung screen that was about that at Argos. I use it with my MacBook Pro and my ColorMunki. It works quite well.

My 2c:
You'd be mad to buy 1080p
Thus you'd be mad to go down to 22/23" as 1440p is rare at that size
Ultrasharps are good but expensive

I have NOT checked out the panel in this but its an example of around what I'd be looking at.

IPS, 1440P. No gimmicks so most of you money is going into the panel which is what matters.

Thanks. Use will be for work (non photography) and photo editing, no video.

This LG 29" looks pretty tasty, want to have a look at a 29" in a store & get a feel for it.

Besides that the BenQ that was recommended here could be the front runner unless any others are recommended.
I could easily go down the rabbit hole of analysis paralysis, trying hard to avoid that.

I have athe BenQ as my main monitor and a iiyama as a second, just for ease of working with POTY entries for my camera club(it really helps) Make sure your gfx card can take the res of both if your thinking of a dual system. I need a new one!

I made a big mistake by buying a HD 28", I should have spent more and gone for a 4k monitor... Far superior for photo editing, if only for screen real estate. The hd screen is mostly occupied by title bars and giant icons...

Hi,
With the working from home I'm finally going to buy a monitor this week.

I presume 1440p is much better for editing compared to 1080p- so should I totally rule out any 1080p monitors?

To me adjustable height sounds essential- I'd be using 2 different tables with differnet heights. I have a height adjustable computer chair though. So is the height adjustable feature needed at all?

I'm leaning towards a 27"

I have this monitor. Granted it is expensive but is a dedicated monitor for editing photographs and is 4k. 27" is a good size too. Very happy with it. Height can be adjusted and you can work in portrait mode.
