    "peekaboo!"
Dayton picks up a couple of pieces of paper and makes a show of being able to read.
    "Interesting! So... We headin up?"

Gary searches a few of the desks for anything of note. He waits for Dayton whilst doing so.
He does find records for the warehouse next door, insurance is notably low. The assessment noted that typical items in the warehouse are of little value.

    "If you say so"
He tosses the coconut up the stairs, letting it roll back down.
"Anything to report? Huh? I guess it must be safe. Either that or this is just a ****ing coconut and you took one to many shots to the old melon."

'Security next door, yet the stuff in there is worth about as much as a fiddler's fart... Curiouser and curiouser.'

OOC: Does Dayton head up first?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 10,485 ✭✭✭✭Banjo

Ooc : that doesn't sound like an executioner sharpening an axe at aaaaaaall

    Yes he does

Dayton heads upstairs to a much larger office, of some executive type. Though it's quite empty. Main desk with two or three papers, secretary's desk with typewriter and that's it.

The window looking into the warehouse is to the right as he comes up the stairs.

Gary follows Dayton up and goes to the window to adjudge if he could make the jump.

    Dayton checks the secretary's desk.
"Screetaries know all the secrets." He confides, starting with what's in the typewriter, then the desktop, then looking for drawers

'Yeah, wouldn't know. They don't let me have any female staff at all. Can't imagine why a boxer isn't allowed that, in this day and age... nope, nothing comes to mind at all as to why....'

    He looks around awkwardly.

Seems possible, even for a man his size.

"yeah, women. They like parking spaces, am I right? All the best ones are on the street and someone else is in em when you show up so you gotta wait around like an asshole, then you ain't got no coins to fill the meter and you get the clap. The clamp. I said clamp. "

Although there are many secrets (she's sleeping with the owner even though he is married) little of it seems of any interest. She has a few funny notes about how much of a pompous ass the owner is though.

Gary goes for it and jumps towards the warehouse.

"the **** you doing at the window? Your missing guy Peter Pan?"
Dayton looks at the gap. Then looks for a rope or curtains

    Ooc : if I recall correctly I can't jump for ****

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 10,558 ✭✭✭✭Fourier

He leaps and grabs the window on the other side of the gap. With his strength pulling himself up is an easy task.

He finds himself on a gangway over looking a large storage room. Seven small crates and one very large one lie on the storage room floor. The area of the storage room near the door has two offices. On the opposite side of the storage room is a set of stairs leading to an office overlooking the floor.

The gap looks manageable even for Dayton.

Dayton looks at the typewriter longingly and considers throwing together a fake search warrant since the guys on the door gave him probable cause by lying about the insurance but then remembers he can't spell subpenis or supishun. Screw it. He leaps.

Dayton makes the leap and gets up to the gangway easily with Gary's help.

OCC : is the office reachable from the gangway or do you have to go down and back up?

Looking out the gangway ends before reaching the overlooking office. They'll have to head down to storage room floor and back up to get to it.

'I'll lead this time, can't have you do it all the time.'

Gary heads down to the storage room floor.

Dayton looks for guards before following

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 10,558 ✭✭✭✭Fourier

Exiting the stairs down from the gangway, Gary can hear a conversation coming from the left of the two offices near the door.

Nothing of note is on the storage floor apart from the boxes. He can easily head to the overlooking office.

    No guards thankfully.

And he does. He draws his .38 as he climbs the stairs. Just in case.

He reaches the door of the office. He hears elevated voices.

"...Jesus another one..." muffled "...keep it in his garden for all I care..."

Gary waits for Dayton and takes up a position at one side of the door.

    'Hey...' he whispers.

'Want me to bust this in and give them a fright? Or you got any other plans?'
