I emailed because it says to bring a reference covering last three years but can't be your current employer. I am with my employer more than three years so wasn't sure what to do.

    Got this response
"If you are unable to provide references on the day there is no need to worry as if you are successful at interview stage these can be collected at a later date."

Fantastic that's a relief! Thanks for posting I was getting quite worried 😂

Is it necessary to bring the passport photos and photocopy of ID with us again? Surely they've still got the copies provided during stage 2.

Yeah I'm not sure why they want them all again. I get the id, still prove it's you but more photos seems redundant. But it's what they have asked for so...

Is everyone bringing a reference from their current employer? I mean it seems a bit premature....very awkward if you don’t pass the interview.

It's not a reference from current employer it's a form. You fill in their contact details. They want written references from other employers in last 3 years

Received a high OOM from stage 1 and I’ve heard nothing from Wicklow, completed stage 2 for a second county though

Interview for Wexford done (oom 7), was tough mainly due to time constraints leading to interuptions but they prepare you for that before you go in. 2 interviewers one note taker - Good luck everyone else 👌

Sure at least it's over now, well done! How long was the interview?

What kind of interruptions were they due to time constraints? Was it moving on to new questions? Are all interviews done in Dublin pas office?

All done in Dublin yea. The interview is 30 minutes times and so rather than get bogged down in one question they will move you on to another. They can also sometimes interupt to question a point you make or advise not relevant and provide a clarifying question

Had my interview tuesday for limerick, was supposed to get the train. Luckily i was driving to the station so I just kept driving when i heard and literally got there with 5 mins to spare lol.

With the stress of that, i never asked when we might hear. Has anyone who has done an interview so far asked by any chance?

  • Registered Users Posts: 12 Spreefeet

Just out of interview, made a balls of it. Roll on next competition in two years

Might not be as bad as you think! Also you don't know how other people in you're country got on, I wouldn't be losing hope yet!

Hi MedPsych. If you don't mind me asking roughly what was your OOM and if Open or Inter-D? TIA

  • Registered Users Posts: 90 ✭✭CandyCane_81

For the interview what examples did people give for specialist knowledge expertise and self development?

  • Registered Users Posts: 12 Spreefeet

They were very serious for what is basically a junior management role, found it hard to build a rapport with them. Have example ready of dealing with awkward coworker, also meeting deadline or failing to meet deadline. Wanted to know about your knowledge of making reports and making presentations. Challenge in your work-life or personal life. Have examples ready. They hurry you along and will interrupt as only have five minutes for each of the competencies. Interview lasts about 35 minutes. Good luck to all

  • Registered Users Posts: 472 ✭✭eroc79

Was in for about 40 min. Happy to be done. Felt ok coming out but I can never tell with these things. Best of luck to everyone else

  • Registered Users Posts: 944 ✭✭✭tgdaly

Interview does sound tough from what I can tell. 35-40 mins is a tough slog. I had an interview for semi state body earlier in the year for EO and was about 25 mins. Definitely seems a huge step up from CO interview (which I felt was essentially a box ticking exercise)

I've my interview at 3.10 tomorrow so I'll be amongst the last, so hopefully they'll either be in a good mood going into the bank holiday weekend or in a rush to get out!

Hi MedPsych. If you don't mind me asking roughly what was your OOM and if Open or Inter-D? TIA

I'm in the Open Competition. My OOM is currently 6 for Limerick. I hate interviews though and with the stress of getting there on tuesday I'll be happy if I've just done well enough to stay on the panel somewhere lol :p

Thanks a mill. Hopefully you'll sail through!! I'm mid teens Inter-D so probably have a bit of a wait for interview and like that I'll be delighted just to get through. Interviews are so stressful at the best of times!! Very best of luck!!

Hi all, I'm number 20 on the open panel for Wexford. I know the first few have been called for interview, but I'm wondering if anyone has any idea when the next round might be called? I want to book to go way during the summer, but am worried that I'll do that and then a date for interview will come up! I have emailed PAS but no reply yet.

Did anyone ask when results will be out? The agony of waiting

I did ask my interviewers at the end but they didn't seem entirely sure, just said a couple of weeks so hopefully we could be looking at mid June

I'm quite annoyed by the process. My OOM is 4 in my area but I was abroad when the interviews were being conducted. I contacted them to see could i postpone my interview and was told that if and when they are conducting more interviews I will be notified. To be left waiting 8 weeks for supervised test results and then given a very short window for interview is very frustrating.

I understand you're frustration, I would've been disappointed to miss an interview. It worked out for me this time being so quick as in another 2 weeks I would've been abroad myself

While I appreciate they are very busy, and probably understaffed; I can’t see how it would take weeks to issue these results. ‘Tis cruel!

I got a reply from email yesterday too, more or less the same. There are no dates for further interviews, and I'll be contacted via my message board when a date comes up. If I happen to be away I may be able to interview with the next lot.

Waiting for my group to come up and then possibly having to wait for the lot after then if I happen to be away .... sure might not happen! Dunno what to do........

Hi has there been any movement with carlow or Kilkenny since stage 1?

Is the likely to be another batch of candidates put forward for round 2 for Cork?

Does anybody know what the maximum score for each of the stage 2 tests are? I have spent the morning searching online and can’t find it!!

Also Leitrim has opened for stage 2 so more movement soon hopefully!

I have had my interview for Sligo but I was also wondering if I accept a job off that panel does it remove me from the leitrim panel also
