    If kane is out, there's a real lack of quality options to replace him with. I currently have auba, kane, Rashford. I can only think of 3 viable candidates to replace kane;

    Aguero
    Firmino
    Jiminez

    Am I overlooking anyone?

Free hit time for next week for me, loading up on below...

    Liverpool v Palace
    United v Brighton
    Fulham v Spurs
    Huddersfield v City

    Currently coming up with this...

    Lloris
    TAA Alderweireld Lindlof
    Dilva Pogba Sane Mane Alli
    Firmino Rashford

One playing sub of Rondon home to Cardiff

Finding it hard to squeeze in Salah/Kane/Sterling/Aguero unless weakining overall team. Have 0.6 left over. Punt on more big guns or overall strength is the question....

Do you mean Doherty as you have robertson in twice?
I still dont trust United to keep a clean sheet.
DDG had to make TWELVE saves in ONE HALF yday........

At HT yesterday, I was contemplating Shaw as a possible Alonso replacement, now there is no chance I make that move.

The amount of chances Man U gave up in that 2nd half was incredible. On another day they would have conceded 3 or 4. It definitely isn't the resolute defence of last season.
    naughtb4 wrote: »
Brighton and Burnley are up there with the two worst attacks in the league though

    Yep, meant Doherty!

The back to back clean sheets probably did overshadow how badly United defended. They even barely hung onto a CS against Newcastle too actually! It's just as naughtb4 said, Brighton and Burnley are games they should keep clean sheets in. If I do keep DDG, it will just be for short term, then switch to 4.5m keeper for the rest of the season. But you might have talked me out of getting him at all...

Not sure about using the free hit and not having likes of Salah at least

Kane is injured and Son is away to Asia so spurs are an unknown quantity this week - I wouldn’t be touching them tbh. Why has Ali done to show any sign of scoring big?

Fulham are at home and need points wouldn’t put it past them to score so double spurs defence be risky enough

Salah over Mane all day long - just look at his last 7 game weeks.

Dilva/sane - lets see how they do tonight - even if sane does well there is always chance of being rested - if using free hit you want players who guaranteed to play.

Like the idea of firimino actually - was thinking of getting him in for Kane.

But depending on tonight’s match I think you should be looking to get some more heavy hitters into the team

Given that Everton weren't keeping many clean sheets, and for the annoyance of depending on assists, I was gonna make way for a more reliable option. But after yesterdays match, and that he is going to play further up the wing, I'll need to keep him. It makes 4 very good options in defence, with United's upcoming fixtures looking fantastic; Shaw, Robertson, Digne, Robertson. Hoping I can fit DDG into my team and drop Shaw to make room for midfield.

It's very satisfying when your defenders return non-CS points tho. This week I'd 29 points:
    Digne: CS + Assist + 3BP
    TAA: Assist
    Holebas: Assist + 2BP
    AWB: 3BP
    Bench: Doherty TBC

    Last week I'd 3 points:
    Digne: 1pt
    TAA: 1pt
    Holebas: 0pt
    Doherty: 1pt
    Bench: AWB 6pt

    Wolves v Leicester

Going to keep it simple and do son to pogba. Was tempted to wildcard but that would be more out of frustration .

Looking at your team, A free hit won't really solve any issues - it's a quick one game fix, but I think having Anderson, Ricky and Fraser is a bit much and leaves you a bit light, by all means have 1 of them, maybe 2, but not 3. Dilva is not returning the points consistently to take up a city spot imo. I don't see why people have Hazard - Chelsea are not a big scoring team and so chances are you won't captain him, so is he worth the price? Kane is now injured.

Auba to Rashford, leaving me with a 7.2M in the bank.

If Kane is out I’m thinking of taking a minus 4 punt on Dells Alli (for Leicester’s Mendy). With Son and Kane out, Alli will probably end up playing further forward. Would Alli also be on pens?

If Kane is out for a month,

Looking at Kane & Eriksen out for Sterling & Firmino (for a -4)

    Madness or easy decision?

    Will leave 1.6 ITB too

It’s a punt but a punt you could do without tbh. I’m looking to jump Spurs ship

Could you get Sane, Sterling, Pogba, Salah if you don’t already have?

Already have those 4. Front 8 is

    Salah Sterling Pogba Sane Mendy
    Arnie Rashford Wilson

Having a stronger option for Mendy would help if one (or both) of Arnie and Wilson don’t feature

Did a bit of a hasty -12 but I like my team better now:

Guaita, Valery, Ricky and Hazard out
Alisson, Digne, Jota and Alli in

    Alisson
    TAA Digne Doherty
    Jota Salah Sterling Pogba Alli
    Aguero Rashford
    (Speroni, AWB, Bednarek, Quaner)

Will Jota outscore Ricky by four points over the coming weeks? Will Alli outscore Hazard as well? I'd be surprised. I know they are frustrating players to own right now but you'd want to be confident of the replacement racking up points if taking a hit.

This is understandable with Kane out and Son gone. But look at their fixtures. Eriksen/Alli could bring big returns in the next few weeks as the onus to get goals will fall on them.

Jesus looks to be hitting a nice vein of form. I was considering Kane to Aguero but will his minutes be a little more limited now?

Yup was all ready to bring in Aggy but similar thinking to this now. I'm afraid of more rotation and a less clear pecking order than we saw earlier in the season (more similar to last season).

I think I'll be steering clear of both and going for a City midfielder instead.

Real lack of options up top now

I'm more of the thought process that Spurs will be far less potent without Kane and Son so would be in the jump-ship boat also.

Perhaps would consider Llorente or Moura as value picks, but Alli and Eriksen for me are too expensive for a side that may struggle to create / put away the chances created.

I think I'm still going to plough ahead with Mitrovic to Rashford, and now also considering Jesus in for Kane.

    Or maybe Auba?? :confused::confused::confused:

Guaita injured after only shifting things around to put him in last week!

Who's the best "cheap" keeper available for the next few games?

Hovering around the 300k mark so need a reshuffle.
2fts and 0.3m in the bank. Team is:

    Fab Hamer
    Digne TAA Taylor Bennett AWB
    Salah Richy F.Anderson Hazard Gibbs-White
    Kane PEA Kamara

Definitely going Taylor to VVD with first FT for a Pool def double up.
With Kane probably out I'm gonna replace him.
Any of these worth a -4?

    A)Gibbs-White/Kane to Sane/Ings
    B)Gibbs-White/Kane to Pogba/Jiminez
    C)F.Anderson/Kane to Sane/Rashford
    D)F.Anderson/Kane to Sterling/Jiminez

FWIW F.Anderson can also be Richy.
Which is the best option or is there a better one?
Basically I want some City/United attack cover.
    Leaning towards C.
Sorry for multiple options just covering bases.
    Answers on a postcard please.

Sterling is a decent captain in my squad, but Bobby has not impressed. Have given the guy enough time to produce, especially when you have a squad like the Kop have.

Hazard and Firmino out for sane and Lacazette . Laca just based on big game performance

Same. Assumed he was okay after playing the whole game at the weekend.

Have 2FT and the exact funds to do Kane/TAA > Aguero/Robertson

Alternatively could take a -4 and do Kane/TAA/Arnie out for Digne/Aguero/Rashford.

If I do the former Ill have to play Mitrovic against Spurs. Decisions decisions....

  • Registered Users Posts: 4,128 ✭✭✭NabyLadistheman

Might just bench TAA now and play Wan Bicassa. Take the hit on the chin, first time being burnt this season. Will swap Kane out for a -4 and get Robertson in next week

I took a -12 to get him in because I didn't fancy Patricio's chances and Hart has lost his place. FML.

    Maybe Button?

    Augero out - Salah in

    Ricky out - Long in

No faith in Shano but want Salah in and Augero out.

Cant depend on Augero starting after Jesus playing well Monday night. I ve lost patience with Ricky. Cue him banging 3 in against the Saints while Long missess sitters.

Could be a good week to take a -4 if it's needed seeing as a lot of other people will probably also be trying to get rid of TAA, Kane and or Son

Yes, Alli would more than likely be on pens.

Could be a good week not to take a hit as it would give you a four point head start on many so.

Alli has taken them in the past. Think Lamela took one at one stage too (and missed!).

Is Auba's form any worse than that of Kun or Bobby? Make what you will of his fixtures but Auba will certainly be a captain option against Cardiff and Hud. I suppose the situation looks different through the eyes of an Auba owner who has to replace Kane as opposed to someone considering bringing him in.

Brought TAA in last night for Alonso. Had 2 fts so won't be a disaster.

Have to get rid of Kane too so definite -4 this week.

Fair point. Arsenal have fallen off a good bit over the last while.

Brought in Guaita and TAA as part of my WC last week, already had Kane. Was planning to roll the ft this week but that's gone, looking like a -4, possibly -8. I know it's a trap but I'll probably take a punt on Jesus as a differential.

    Guaita replacement

The FPL site did an article on him with other wildcard targets and pointed out he might be a good option with the fixtures after the Manchester United game being against not so good opposition. As I just played the wildcard I decided to bring him in to replace Kepa early this week and used my free transfer. Now that Kane is injured Spurs may be a little less effective at holding the ball but it looked a good decision when I made it last week. Only Liverpool have less goals conceded than Chelsea and Spurs when I checked.

Gone and taken a hit to replace Kane and just going to leave Alexander Arnold on the bench until next weeks free transfer. If I'd known that I'd be replacing Alexander Arnold then Alison would be the better keeper option with the extra Liverpool player slot available.

Ive stuck with Etheridge in goal. Have him and Kepa and think he has a better chance away to Newcastle than Chelseas defence do at the gunners.

Though I want to get rid of TTA, gonna hold off so Im not minus 4. Bench for his sins.
