    Can I cancel a credit card which is paid in full before the GST hits in order to avoid paying it? Would it be difficult to obtain a new credit account a few months later?

    Hi soo35,

    Thanks for the message.
    Once you have the card at any point within the GST period that you're looking to avoid paying it will be charged on your card during the closing process even if this is before the date that it is due.
    If you'd still like to cancel your credit card you can call our credit cards section directly on 1890251251 (or 00353567757747 if you're abroad) and the advisers there will be happy to start this process for you.
