The Irish World Senior Teams have now been selected for The World Senior Team Championships 50+ & 65+ which takes place in Rhodes in April. Best of luck to the two teams!

Good luck indeed; sorry I cannot play this year.

The expressions of interest form for the European Senior Team Championships (Croatia in September) remains open at

So far four names are down for the 50+ (another strong team, it looks like) and three for the 65+ but there is absolutely no commitment at this stage.
You can still add your name if there are already five on a list, or withdraw later if you change your mind. (My own name is down but at this stage I am only 75% certain I'll be available.)
At present the ICU page lists the venue announced on the European Chess Union site while the FIDE calendar says something different.
When the host federation confirms the exact venue and conditions (hotel cost, transport arrangements etc.) then it will be time for ICU to contact you for a definite confirmation that you want to play.

This may not happen for a couple of months. At present we are trying to find out more information from the hosts.

We've lost a player on the 65+ team so if anyone is interested, please let me know.

Yes I hope you can get a fifth player; it's certainly better if everyone can have a day or two off during the event.

There's still no more information about the EU Senior Team event (Croatia in September) but I would expect it will be available in Rhodes.

BTW I put the wrong link in my previous post, sorry. If you want to express interest in that event it is https://www.icu.ie/events/1168
