Hi lads, we are currently thinking of buying a new TV. Looking for a 55" and the budget is up to €900(ish). I'd watch a lot of sport (rugby mainly) and it'll also be used for an Xbox One from time to time, as well as the usual random TV shows/Netflix. I'd like an OLED but they seem to be pushing the budget a bit far.
At the moment, the winner looks to be LG 55SK8100PLA. Is there anything else you would recommend in the same ball park price wise? I see it's currently on offer, do you know when this will end?

    Hi Antonio Helpful Flatware,

Apologies for the delay getting back to you!

The OLEDs definitely are the best TVs to go for but you would be starting off at 1299 euro for the LG OLED55B8. There really is nothing that touches it though.

For a good LED TV I would recommend the LG 55SK8100, it's a great panel at 789 euro but I would also recommend the Soy KD55XF8505 at 877 euro. The Sony's have great contrast and motion processing as well as the Android operating system.

For sale pricing it may run for the next week or two however we are never told in advance when the prices will change so they might change earlier, I wouldn't be able to advise.

Let me know what you think.

    Kind regards

    David
