Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Saints ranked worst in the league per DVOA on defending deep passes.

That’s three big deep completions they’ve given up tonight so far.

Shame Goff didn't back himself to go for it.

Yes, he had a touchdown if he put the head down and went for it

McVae bottles it on 4th and goal. Amazing the way coaches act differently in the playoffs.
If they lose there will be a lot of talk over that. I'm confident that Belichick would have went for it in that situation.

Time for Aaron Donald to step up now, Saints could easily eat up at least half the time left with a long drive here

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 28,710 ✭✭✭✭Paully D

    Aaron Donald is not human!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 18,183 ✭✭✭✭paulie21

What a play by Brees and Ginn

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 14,150 ✭✭✭✭LuckyGent88

What a brave brave throw. Complete 50/50 ball.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 13,458 ✭✭✭✭dastardly00

That may win them the game

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 38,967 ✭✭✭✭eagle eye

Wow, big one from Brees to Ginn.

    Terrible defending

Joyner should have made a play on that.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 28,710 ✭✭✭✭Paully D

That was the worst piece of safety play you’ll ever see from Joyner there.

    Horrific.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 7,778 ✭✭✭Big Pussy Bonpensiero

Poor enough from Joyner tbh. Rams will have just over a minute to respond to whatever the Saints do here.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 14,150 ✭✭✭✭LuckyGent88

God that was a stupid 1st down play.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 7,778 ✭✭✭Big Pussy Bonpensiero

Rams getting an extra 40 secs off that. Should've been a easy completion but just bad execution.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 14,150 ✭✭✭✭LuckyGent88

OMG, how to **** do they not call that.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 7,778 ✭✭✭Big Pussy Bonpensiero

Wow. What an awful non-call. He looked guilty as sin after and all.

Have to fancy OT from here.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,296 ✭✭✭coco0981

    Terrible non call

Wtf??? How was there now call there???

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,702 ✭✭✭MileHighGuy

That's game if that obvious pi is called there.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 15,172 ✭✭✭✭kmart6

    Brutal non call.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 28,710 ✭✭✭✭Paully D

Jesus, if he just turns around he has a pick-six.

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,702 ✭✭✭MileHighGuy

This is it. ....(unless we get ot)

  • Registered Users Posts: 4,062 ✭✭✭blackcard

Definite penalty. Hope it ends in a tie

Massive drive here for the Rams offense. Still think they should have went for it on the last drive at 4th and inches.

No challenges or you can't challenge a non call? Sorry first year watching NFL

    Can't challenge that, not reviewable.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 8,599 ✭✭✭ScrubsfanChris

Well this officiating team wont be at the superbowl

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 15,172 ✭✭✭✭kmart6

Could argue Saints got away with a hold there.

Saints should just hang on to everybody, obviously no such thing as PI with these officials.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 15,172 ✭✭✭✭kmart6

    Dicey throw!

You can't challenge anything in the last 2 minutes of a half - the officiating booth can choose to initiate a review though.

You can't challenge non calls at any time though.

    :eek::eek::eek:

Woods was home and dry there with a slightly better throw.

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,702 ✭✭✭MileHighGuy

Rams need to think td here. Fg is no gimmie and only gets you back to a 50/50 situation.

Yip, ball location caused the slip, otherwise pretty much a walk in td.

Nah, 43, one of the Williams looked like he was there in the backfield to get him.

  • Registered Users Posts: 4,062 ✭✭✭blackcard

Jaysus I thought that was fading to the right and then it came back in again. Wish I had that shot for my golf game

Some set of cajones on Zuerlein there.

    Insane pressure.

Yeah, was sure he pushed it. Glad to enjoy some more football here though.

You can challenge non-calls. Plays that can be reviewed generally have a very defined set of parameters. Obviously, PI doesn't.

Plays that can be reviewed are:
    • Scoring plays
    • Pass complete/incomplete/intercepted
    • Runner/receiver out of bounds
    • Recovery of a loose ball in or out of bounds
    • Touching of a forward pass, either by an ineligible receiver or a defensive player
    • Quarterback pass or fumble
    • Illegal forward pass
    • Forward or backward pass
    • Runner ruled not down by contact
    • Forward progress in regard to a first down
    • Touching of a kick
    • Other plays involving placement of the football
    • Whether a legal number of players is on the field at the time of the snap
    • Ejections

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 988 ✭✭✭brendanwalsh

That no call for PI was a disgrace, you'd wonder are the nfl fixing results.

Yip, as obvious a pi that you will see all year. And in such a crucial situation. But if the refs are going to let stuff go for the entire game, they should show the consistency all the way through

You would think it would be fairer if each team got a chance to score.

Wow, a fg does it now for the rams and they only 25 yards away.
