Best way to transfer £500 sterling?

Need to send sterling over the next few weeks, in total it will be £520. Recipient has suggested a bank transfer but is that the best /cheapest method for me? Would I send the euro equivalent? I presume they will charge more.
Would PayPal be an option? Any other simple, cheap way of transferring small amounts of sterling from an Irish bank account?

Get the revolut app, direct bank transfer to him and you'll get the best sterling rate.

Yes, I have revolut account.... But I only use it for purchases up North or on Amazon /Ebay.. Never knew there was a bank transfer facility! So do I just get recipients bank details and input them into revolut?

If you tap Payments, there's an option for Bank Transfer at the top
