Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    Losing patience with Everton.
A downgrade would let me strengthen my defence

    Looking like a boring bank.

Then a mini wildcard with 3 or 4 moves next GW.

I'm now looking at banking which means holding Alli and playing Bednarek.

Have no City but could bring in 3 for GW25 for a -4.

    Will also bank now.

Alli to Sane. No brained. Spurs are not the same team that Son will be coming back to.

Sane Sterling & Digne fo dgw. Might use Shaw following for a City player to have 3 City

  • Registered Users Posts: 849 ✭✭✭IrishLad90

    Thinking hazard out sane in?
And possibly Firmino out and Jimenez/higuain in

    Opinions

    Have Sterling ederson (city)
    And Alonso Luiz (check)
    In my starting 11

  • Registered Users Posts: 849 ✭✭✭IrishLad90

    Moved Firmino and Martial
    Now have Jimenez and sane

    Rashford and jimenez
    Sterling hazard sane
Luiz Alonso Robertson Digne wan bissaka
    Ederson

    Captain Sterling

    Fraser Wilson button Mctominay

Overall rank is still close to 2million
To me on paper it hasn't been a bad season but that stat doesn't lie

  • Registered Users Posts: 674 ✭✭✭carnie

    Had forgotten all about this.

    I reckon Hazard to Sterling.

    Is Riccy injured?

Where are you getting the funds?

Pending team news i'm gonna go through with my gut move of Alli to Ramsey. Will then be left with exactly enough funds to do Speroni to Ederson for gw25 :)

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 20,424 ✭✭✭✭Rikand

    Deleofeu to Sterling

And bank my second transfer so that I have 2 to play with for the mini dgw

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,737 ✭✭✭larchielads

Who ye reckon gonna be the guaranteed starters in man citys attack line for the dgw, aguero, jesus, sane, sterling, mahrez, b silva? Already have aguero and sane reckon any of those be rested or maybe just take a borin punt on ederson for 2 clean sheets?

If I was you, I'd go Ederson

With Pep, they are as likely to bring back Shawn Goater out of retirement and start him in one of the games as they are to start the same player twice.

Think alchemist has a point so to go with the keeper

I reckon laporte should be pretty nailed for the next few games. Has started all but one pl game, didnt play in either of the recent cup games and can cover lb if mendy is out. The fact that it's relatively difficult opposition makes him less likely to be rested. Im currently torn between ederson and laporte. Laporte has a higher points ceiling with an outside chance of a goal/assist or bonus. Ederson is capped at 6 points pretty much. Arsenal are missing a lot of defenders and Everton have conceded a lot of goals from set pieces, not impossible laporte gets an attacking return.

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,353 ✭✭✭MR NINE

I think ederson, laporte, fernandinho and sane will start both games. Good chance sterling does too. I wouldn't be too confident of anyone else getting two starts, however i might still punt on aguero over auba for one gw.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 12,064 ✭✭✭✭eh i dunno

Have enough to do Jimenez to hig but wolves next 6 fixtures are as good as you can get. Hammers, Everton, Newcastle, Bournemouth, Huddersfield, Cardiff. Also have firminho and auba

  • Registered Users Posts: 849 ✭✭✭IrishLad90

With champions league coming up my changes are gonna be drastic
Have captained Sterling most of the season, that's gonna change and the captain will be picked per GW.

If Rashford plays in CL he will be getting dropped from my squad. And Jimenez and Wilson will have to play in front of an expensive lineup

Is there any arsenal mids worth considering as a Dele alli replacement? Or is pea or lacazette the way to go for arsenal coverage. It will take a hit to get either of the latter in.

    Yes pea
    I wouldn't take a hit

Kola as a defender is nailed on and as likely to get assists as their midfielders, worth considering if you have space and at 4.9, just bench him against City.

    Bednarek(CRY) is 1st sub.

    Bank?

Richarlison or David Silva for a 2 gameweek punt? Planning on going 4 DGW players without a hit upto this week so one of these lads is likely to be the Alli replacement that funds my Sterling transfer next week.

not a bad punt. Ricky has gotten cheap. i got rid as he was frustrating me, but I understand the allure, despite Everton's rotten form.

D Silva is a tricky one. I had him for many weeks before his injury and he did brilliantly in ticking things over. I'm just worried about gametime with KDB back and so so so many options in that squad. I think Sane and Sterling are the only ones that might be nailed as attacking threats in that team (well, as nailed as Pep roulette can be). Mahrez is seemingly out of favour for the league games recently, Sane is in blistering form, and Sterling (along with Sane) have had a lot of rest during the cup games.

tldr: Silva is worth a punt, but it wouldn't shock me to see him only start one game.

With the VVD news I am thinking of a straight Alisson > Ederson swap which will cover me for next weeks DGW too.

    Sensible move?

Liverpool have Leicester, West Ham and Bournemouth, City have Newcastle, Arsenal and Chelsea. I'd say Arsenal and Chelsea have a better chance of scoring than the teams playing Liverpool.

I still can't bring myself to sell Alonso. Bournmouth at home followed by Huddersfield away next week.

However, looking at the funds if I'd like a 4 player Everton/City line-up for next week he'll likely have to give way.

Alonso to Digne is what I'm wrestling with.

Spurs are a good side, they are gonna have to change there tactics and it will not pay off as big as people seem to be predicting.
I'd rather pick up a definite starter elsewhere.
Alonso or luiz must be due a goal/assist

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 9,943 ✭✭✭2nd Row Donkey

Alonso is due to hit the post again. That's about the height of it.

If Ederson is not on your radar I'd go for Laporte.
I don't think Klopp will play TAA against WHU on Monday if it goes well for Liverpool tomo because Gomez is still out.

    Strong Front 8 Problems

    Salah Sterling Pogba Ricky Fraser
    Rashford Jiminez PEA

Who to bench ? Currently its fraser as huddersfield was a game I kept ricky for and Jimmy is home to west ham.

Hoping Chelsea might try shut up shop against free scoring bournemouth

Have benched Wilson and Fraser this GW
Opted for 5 defenders with Wan-bissaka and digne being my choices to field. Chelsea away is never an easy game for them

    Klopp said TAA not available.
    If I bring in Laporte/Ederson, I'll have 5 with a blank in GW25 - No prob benching 4, but can't be a man down.

    Looking at Trippier, nice fixtures

Did Camarasa to Jota as my transfer.

I've just enough to sell Richarlison for Son, so if Ricky flops again tonight I'm probably going to make that transfer right away.

Bah. I can't decide so off to the bank I go.
