    I'l be making a substantial purchase in UK on Sat will my card be blocked or will I just ring the bank

    Thanks for getting in touch.

    As long as you have the available balance in your account you can absolutely make that purchase.

    I will just advise you that Point of Sale transactions in the UK have a cross border handling fee of 2% of the transaction, capping at €11.43.
