    Probably an isolated frost hollow, to steal a Villain phrase.
    The overall seems like it's hit the nail on the head I reckon.

    I wouldn't be a "frost hollow" but it's -5c here in South Laois. The lowest that model was showing for me was -3c.

    Kilkenny City just above -4c also.

    Latest HIRLAM has less precip but an upgrade in wintry potential (with a pinch of salt). Seems the cold is biting harder than expected

    Just home from work. Car is showing 0c
    But the strange thing is it's raining heavily . I always assumed that under 2c it would a least be sleet. 10 k nw of Bandon 180m above sea level.

    Really don’t want any snow or ice here, would be most inconvenient as I have work (outside) for the next few days and it can’t be put off and I’ll need to traverse molls gap in Kerry a couple of times.

    It's freezing on impact in bray. Very dangerous
