Hi I booked a 3 night stay in Paris for Oct coming. I used my visa debit card instead of my credit card and to confirm the booking the hotel pre authorize the cost of the first night. A pre-authorisation will show on your account for up to five business days and should automatically be removed from your transaction list after this.
