Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    Hi,

I am a holder of a legacy a/c and I was told this needs to be closed before I can open a new a/c so I can get phone/BB.  I rang last week and was assured that this a/c would be cancelled and would be contacted about opening a new account.  So far as I can tell, neither of those two things have happened, account appears active still on "my.eir.ie" if that is an indicator and have not been contacted.  Can an agent look into this for me please? I cant afford the time to try and make phone contact again.

    Thanks.

Service should have been transferred automatically - there is no need to close one account and then open a new account, they work in tandem til the new account is fully active

I had an old a/c (too keep the number alive) transferred to my name that "seems" to be attached to a line going to the house, I thought I could just reactivate it and get Phone/BB.  Anytime I raised this, all I got was, this must be closed before we can deal with you.  I honestly don't know at this stage, it seems like a lot of work just get services.

Are you saying you are changing the name on the account? Thats a different ball game.
Same name, same address the transfer is seamless and quick

That was done (name was changed), thought I could just then ring up and reactivate, but I found out after ringing them up, that it must be closed so that I can start on a new a/c.

    Hi Encrypted Pigeon,

Sorry to hear you are having problems setting up an order.

Could you PM the following details?
    1. Registered Name
    2. Registered Address
    3. Account Number
    4. DOB
    5. Are you the Account Holder?
    6. Landline Number

As soon as I get this information I will certainly look into this for you.
