    2020 season stuff thread.

Woman who's accusing Josh Reynolds off assault appears to be a piece of work, who's got multiple aliases and obtained large sums of money from a lot of men for made up stories of dead parents or fake pregnancies and general manipulation.

I went to subscribe to watchnrl for the year and noticed it allows you to enter a voucher code to reduce the price - anyone know where I could get one or are there sign up discounts closer to the start of the season? Thanks

Creepy Bulldog duo dropped indefinitely for having sex with school girls, aged 17 or 18, so not illegal. Read elsewhere they allegedly knew the girls because they'd met them when they visited their school! Classy stuff.

Try fest for the first game of the season so far.
2 - 2 between the Eels and Bulldogs :pac:

Captain's challenges bit of a balls so far.

And I've found an IPTV provider that gives me the Aussie channels, perfect.

Still a pretty enjoyable game but maybe only because it was the first game of the season.

Not sure how I feel about the new rules with the challenge the option of moving an infield scrum out to the sideline. Hopefully teams will actually learn to use thier challenge correctly. Using the 1 challenge on a lost ball in midfield in the first half is beyond stupid. Would have loved to have seen that go against them in the end when Ferguson was taken out in the air and dragged in goal.

After a nervous start the Cowboys are starting to play well - should make for a cracking second half!

Let the Broncos get too far in front after the break unfortunately.

Looks like a comfortable win for the Raiders against the Titans earlier.

Match on tomorrow at 830 on sky...might as well make most of it those of you inclined to sleep in at the weekend - won't be much else in the way of live televised RL in forthcoming weeks/months

Bunnies with a decent lead after the first half, scored with a man in the bin, Sharks look a bit lost at times.

    Robbed of that try ?

Enjoyed the penrith roosters game, very high-octane

Hadn't watched the 2nd half, but do you mean the forward pass at the end? Could have a gone either way I think. Marginally forward but you see passes like that every game and the ref plays on, Sharks were unlucky not to sneak the win weren't they.

Dragons defended their line for SO long. Brilliant scrambling, then fluff two gilt edge chances at the other end to at least get on level terms, meaning all the hard work is for nothing, Tigers confirm the win with a try off a scrum.

So strange watching games behind closed doors. Kind of hard to take it seriously or something. Feels like watching pre season.

Yeah a very flat atmosphere, or lack of it. Amazing how much background buzz even a small crowd make, don't realise until they've gone. I'll still end up watching both games tomorrow though!

Queensland shutting travel to their state means probably the end of the NRL for now, not really a surprise.

NRL tentatively looking at a 28th May return.

Government etc seem to be going along with it, so it’s very likely once they iron down the rules of it.

Maybe not. NSW Chief Medical Officer (and Australia's Deputy Chief Medical Officer) isn't happy.

Rules changing in the NRL. Reverting to a single ref, attacking team get repeat set of six if defence slowing play of the ball down.

Suspensions for ignoring the social distancing rules, players not going to be allowed to play in Qld unless they get the flu jab. Strange times.

Started watching NRL and supporting the Cowboys in 2011 - I could be wrong - my first match was live in Australia - saw the Cows vs Broncos and saw some on TV - didn't start to watch it on TV properly until 2012 when it started to get more coverage here. Therefore, I don't remember a time without 2 refs. For more seasoned supporters of the game - what was the game like before with just one ref - is a good/bad thing?

RL in England still has one on-field ref, surely you've seen a few games ?

It's grand, I don't notice a huge difference tbh. Just as many questionable calls with 2 refs as 1 imo.

Didn't catch any of today's games, final 3 games of the round tomorrow with Warriors up first against the Dragons at 6am, so I'll probably inflict that on myself. Sharks Tigers next, then hopefully what should be a good game between the Storm and the Raiders.

Haha, thanks yeah, totally miscounted, cheers Charles. To be honest I don't even know what day of the week it is half the time!

It's been so handy sky showing them all, we still have Panthers Knights, Sea Eagles and Bulldogs to see.

And earth shattering news, the Warriors won. They were very good, a bit like them though, they're either good or terrible, no half measures. Poor old St. George were dreadful.
