Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

I'd be of the same thinking, a good start throws you right to the top and you never drop too far once staying around average scores or above.

I hit 92 & 94 points in GW1 & GW2. And kept afloat nicely until GW10 when TC on Salah hit gold for 45 point return. I've dropped OR to the 40k (OP
1,521) now after a few weak GW's but in the chasing pack in the ML's.

Other's who are usually high in the ML's I'm in got a slow start and always chasing ground since, taking hits getting in players to try gain the points.

From GW5 I wildcarded when I was around 140k OR.

I initially jumped to 55k OR and since then have never gone below there and never gone as high as 25k OR where I am currently at.

Dropping and increasing between 55k & 25k has been on the back of transfers working and transfers not working.

Really interesting but I can see how those initial 5 weeks where huge in hindsight.

Sooooooo, what ye are saying is to enter 5 different teams and play them all for 5/6 weeks, then pick the best performing 1 and concentrate on it,sorted for next August then so :):)

Always start slow. Was 1.2m after ten weeks. Season high of 350k now so still aiming for my usual top 100k finish. Tough year though

The difference when you’re as high as you are is unbelievable.

I've said this for years now. the importance of a good start is underrated.

the chips are also something I sway on all the time. it feels like they make certain aspects a bit of a lottery, especially the TC, but meh. i'd love, for one season, for it to just go back to the one wildcard and that's it. it won't happen as they want the game to be as accessible as possible to as many as possible, which makes sense.

My highest OR this year has been 15K in GW7 and then again in GW20. My lowest was GW 4 were I dropped to 117k after a decent start but I'm fluctuating a lot between 20-70K

Currently sitting at 30k but a raheem dream tonight will be huge for me.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 14,810 ✭✭✭✭jimmii

OR range for me is high 698k (GW4) low 12.5k (GW24) I'm a slow starter too always seems to happen! Rank hasn't really moved a whole lot since GW10/11.

Yeah I had a shocking start, feel like I've played quite well since then and more good weeks than bad but still haven't cracked top 100k all season. A good start is definitely very very important.

Hope to end up in top 50k when all is said and done and chips are used. The game has got much harder though it needs to be remembered, with more people playing, more people taking it seriously and more resources available for those who don't really know their football or have much experience but want to do their best in the game. Cracking top 50k now is probably the equivalent of cracking top 10k 5 years ago.

So true. Any year I’ve started well I’ve finished high. It’s a different game when you’re at the top. Terrible start this year and have hovered around 500k all season. Gonna load up on players with good fixtures for week 1 and 2 next year and wildcard early.

Simon Stone RT’d this who I would see as well in the know when it comes to Manchester clubs. Not sure how trustworthy the tweeter is

Would be fairly devastating if no Sane starting :(

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 48,256 ✭✭✭✭km79

He is reliable for city news
We can be 100% Aguero starts now

When he says no rotation I think he means no mass rotation
I would expect sane to start too and maybe change at full back

After all his talk it would be the most pep thing in the world to rest bilva but I’ve a feeling it will be kdb who misses out

I'm a bit shocked Aguero starts. Captain Sterling benched is disappointing. But at least i have Aguero. And Laporte. If City are in the mood this could be a bloodbath

I just need Aguero to outscore Sane and I'll be happy. If they both end up on double figures I'll be delirious.

Danilo, sterling (c) and Ricky for me. No interest in this game now.

Win put's city top, a big win increases GD, I would be more Shocked if Aguero didn't start that anyone else. I said that if pool slipped up Everton could get annihilated by city and Aguero.
