Mod: Thanks for that, but, again, no chat on the GIF threads. Moving the whole lot to the chat thread just to be on the safe side.

Tabnabs's "Climate change protest in British Parliament" post in YLYL...

That should be meme-ised/Dougal-ised with "Ted, those women were in the nip."

Sigh, I'm such a luddite; I cannot get the [ IMG ] tags to work. Attachment much?

You have to take the URL of your attachment, then type it between the NOPARSE] tags, like so:

    NOPARSE]https://www.boards.ie/vbulletin/attachment.php?attachmentid=477030&d=1554397260

or you can just click the icon with the yellow sky with the sun and the mountains and type the URL in the blank space (make sure you leave only one "http://"), the tags will be added automatically,

    and Bob's your uncle. :)

Cheers, NH :) See the "Test" forum. I tried my best, though I suspect, given the multiple blank posts I see on YLYL (on mobile) that it might be a problem with my phone/browser.

Thank you, all the same, for successfully embedding my silliness :)

  • Moderators, Arts Moderators, Recreation & Hobbies Moderators, Social & Fun Moderators Posts: 76,766 Mod ✭✭✭✭New Home

Ah no, that's different - the blank posts seem to be from some specific sites.

If your using tesco and on their mobile data you cannot see imgur posts or the imgur app. For some reason its blocked by them and they won't unblock it.

    Say what?

Yeah. There are umpteen threads in the tesco forum about it. Here's one
    https://www.boards.ie/ttfthread/2057829489

    Hi CyberGhost,

Unfortunately the Imgur site is not accessible to our customers at this time. We've raised this previously with our tech team and unfortunately the domain is currently blocked. Sorry for any hassle caused by that. If this changes in the near future, we'll update this thread.

    Thanks,
    Luke

Basically, some of the content on Imgur is blocked on the network. Due to the fact that Imgur is using https instead of http, if one of the URL's is restricted unfortunately this is blocking the whole App/Website, as in this case.

This means that imgur will remain blocked as long as an individual imgur URL is in the blocked list.

    Apologise for the inconvenience again.

    Regards,

When you go on holiday - how come you don't trust the toaster and it gets unplugged - but the fridge is ok?

Because the toaster burns but the fridge cools down? :pac:
