Hi everybody, I am thinking to purchase a Japanese Import Toyota Camry Hybrid 2013. The car has the same platform as the Lexus IS 300h, Lexus NX 300h, Toyota RAV4 Hybrid etc.... the car runs perfectly fine and it is spotless. A couple of questions. Would you recommend me to buy it as it is a model that has not been sold by Toyota Ireland? Spares availability in Ireland, who sell parts for Japanese Imports in Ireland? A good garage in Dublin specialised in Japanese imports/Toyota Hybrids? Insurance? Thank you very much in advance!

Toyota dealers should be able to get parts, but expect long waiting times for anything that isn't common with EU models. They may do diagnostics on a "best effort" basis only.

If you get an Irish or UK Toyota/Lexus hybrid and it's gone in for the hybrid health check every year, they will extend the hybrid system warranty up to 10 years. Something to consider that you won't get with a Japanese import.
