Sitting watching my son pack all his worldly belongings.
Apparently he is moving out because his sister broke his toy and he’s “fed up of her”.

My offer of help to fix the toy has so far been rejected :(

Ah the innocence of him :)

Sitting here sipping a redbreast 12yo and wondering if harry has been seen lately...did he move to Brexitland?

I asked did he need his bus fare :o:D

    He wasn’t amused.

I packed once as a child. the girl down the street had so many toys and said I could go and live there.... My mother found me packing my liberty bodices into a suitcase so I explained quite calmly... never did get away though

Give him a big hug and tell him that you'll be very upset if he leaves :)

I ran away from home once, came back when I calmed down. Nobody even realized I was gone.

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,423 ✭✭✭Harleen Quinzel

Well I dished up his dinner and told him his plate was on the table if he fancied it before he left.
He’s now demolishing his dinner and asking about dessert.

    Crisis averted I think :D

That’s pretty much what my wife does when I threaten to run away. Well handled!

I ran away too (just looking for adventures ) but didn't go far, but one summer evening my neighbour, same age as me, and I were having too much fun exploring and it was dark when we got back ...and found the local parents had made a search party. Nobody was cross ...too relieved we hadn't been snatched by ''kidnappers ''! Still feel bad about it.

TH, the stretch in the evenings (and I love that expression )

I ran away too (influenced by my brother). I’d say we got about a mile away...we had very small legs in those days!!!

Outside the chemist waiting for mam. She said she was feeling awful so as soon as I got back from college, she went to the doctors. Hoping I won’t have to take her down to A&E, but I’m not sure it’s that serious

Finally back home. Went fishing this morning and called to see our daughter and grandchildren on the way back. Stayed for lunch, Mrs S called in too, stayed for 'a play' and had a lovely dinner. Now lighting the fire and having a read of the paper.

Homeside now and getting ready to go for a walk :)

Myself and my cousin ran away when we were little and took off on our ponies. We were gone a good few hours and the ponies brought us back when they got hungry :D

So so Smurf, she needs an x-Ray and doc gave her a letter but that can only be used before 5pm, so we have to go through A&E. It’s packed, we won’t be out of here anytime soon I’d say.

On a train from Dublin. Easier than driving. Job done and managed a couple of pints in the Hooker. Gonna be a takeaway tonight. Only lunch today.

Long day today, thankfully tomorrow is Friday.

Got gym and run done so that's a plus.

    Currently deskside.
