    Hi guys

So my tv went last week and i have been on the lookout for a new tv.

    Ideally would like the following:

    49/50 inch
    Saorview
Rte player available (not a deal breaker if it isn’t available)
    Hdmi x 3
    Usb x 2
Lg or Samsung (current set is lg already have magic remote) open to different brand if reliable
    Netflix and amazon prime streaming
    Google home compatible

Budget would be around the 500 - 600 mark but if slightly more expensive then would see what I can do with the budget.

    Thanks in advance

    Hi _oc_,

If you're looking for the best 49" TV with that Spec I would recommend the Sony KD49XF9005. At 1049 euro it's a fair bit above budget but has a cracking panel, Saorview and the Android operating system. It's probably the best 49" LED we stock.

Closer to your budget I would recommend the LG 49SK8100 at 679 euro. Again this has a great panel and a great smart hub with Google Assistant. 4 HDMI, 2 USB, Saorview and has Google Assistant:

    https://euro.richersounds.ie/p-203382-lg-49sk8100pla-49-inch-4k-ultra-hd-hdr-smart-led-tv-freeview-play.aspx

I'm not sure if you are able to get RTE player off hand as we do not receive it on our NI TVs.

Let me know what you think!

    Kind regards

    David

    hi David

thanks for those recommendations, the Sony would unfortunately be way over the budget unfortunately.
I do like the look for the lg and was wondering if there was much difference between it and this model I found on your website?

    Hi _oc_

You really cant compare the two unfortunately.

The SK8100 is by far the superior televisions in every way.

The 50UK6750 is a good TV but the SK8100 is a league above with the Alpha 7 processor. It also has a better picture quality and higher refresh rate.

    hi David

have been mulling over my options over the past few days and I really like the look of the Sony even though it is way over budget.

I had another look on your website and like the look of this

    https://euro.richersounds.ie/p-203207-sony-kd49xf8505-49-inch-4k-ultra-hd-hdr-smart-led-android-tv-youview.aspx

having never entertained the idea of a Sony I am surprised how much I like the look of this tv. I have always stayed within brands I have known, is Sony reliable?  budget has been moved up to max 800e.

what is the operating system like? does it have a satellite tuner or does the satellite channels all appear in a random order?

    kind regards

    Hi _oc_,

The Sonys are very reliable and the Android operating system is great with good connectivity and a wide range of apps on the google play store. I have checked Sony's website and it does have a Satellite Tuner but it doesn't mention Freesat so it could be a case of the channels appearing out of order.

The Sonys are my choice for best LED panels as I prefer the colour and contrast, they're also very smooth for motion processing.

At the moment these Sonys are Call and Collect only at our Belfast store but I could certainly order one in if you're able to make the trip to collect?

Let me know what you think.

    Kind regards

    David

    kind regards

    Hey __oc__

I'm not sure to be honest.

Keep your eye on it on our website and if the buy it now button appears then its good to ship.

However the 49XF8096 is available to ship and priced at 728 Euro.
    https://euro.richersounds.ie/p-203233-sony-kd49xf8096-49-inch-4k-ultra-hd-hdr-smart-led-android-tv-youview.aspx

The 8096 is only 50Hz and 400Hz XR motionflow to the 100Hz and 800Hz XR Motionflow of the 8505.
The 8096 is still a very nice television and stick with the Android operating system.
