employer paying health insurance

    I need a little help
    I currently pay for my families health insurance approx 3500 per year
    My husbands new employer will pay for insurance when he starts
    I just want to know how much he will pay with BIK ect

    If his workplace pays for insurance the workplace will declare it as BIK he will only pay tax on it. For example, my work place pays for my insurance and I pay, I think around 20%, of the health insurance value as tax.
    I hope that helps a bit.

    This is a good tax calculator (LINK) It has a section for BIK where you can fill in the premium paid by the employer so you can compare before and after.

    One other tip, contact Revenue once he starts and ensure the 200 EUR health insurance tax credit (20% of premium up to 1000 EUR) is applied.
