Hi lads after spending a kings ransom with ye over the last couple of years in upgrades Ive found myself with a few excess items 1 of which is a very good yamaha av receiver (rxv1800 i think the model is)Rather than sell this I have decided to reuse it in my home office so it will have my pc connected via hdmi and possibly a sonos connect. im looking for a 5.1 speaker system that are nice and neat  something along the lines of the newly launched monitor audio mass 5.1. The other option would be a a amp/dac and stereo speaker setup or active speakers. I'm open to all options but i just thought as i have the yamaha why not use it. It may be a few years old but it sounds lovely and the eventual plan is to move it to another living space with better speakers. Thanks for helping me spend my money so easily:D and look forward to the suggestions

    Hi Stumper931,

We are far too good at it! :D

I do have the current line of Monitor Audio Mass speakers for £499 however I've had a look and can't find any info on the relaunch. The Mass would be my choice as they're compact and sound incredible plus you can still use the amplifier without having to buy a new one.

Let me know what you think!

    Kind regards

    David

Thanks for getting back to me I’m still on the fence as to what to do as I just need to work out how I get a decent sound from my pc to what ever I put in. Looking at re using a Dac I have but would mean an upgrade/replacement dac to my hifi. One other question can you buy a pair of mass speakers on their own ? If I was to buy the 5.1 I would like to add two more so I have 7.1 if you could give me a best price delivered for it all with a bit of thin speaker cable that Is somewhat discrete. Thanks again

    Hey Strumper931.

If you added the 2 extra Mass Sats for 7.1 we could offer at £649 delivered.

For speaker cable there is the Symphony 100- I could do this for .95 per meter

You might also require a sublink if you don't already have one.
    Cambridge AUD100 7.5m sublink - I could offer at £14.50

    Hi Giveaway.

    Thanks for the post.

Unfortunately we would not stock anything like that as its a PC based speakers set.

If you went for something like the Denon AVRX250 with the Elac Cinema 510 at £349 would sound much better in my opinion.

Have a little check over the below link which has other 5.1 packages listed:

Let me know if any might suit.

    @Stumper,

just as an update - the new Mass look great, they should arrive with us before the end of Feb and they have really nice new stands but in a really silly move  MA have told me that they will only be available in 5.1 packs - they will not sell the satellites separately to enable Atmos .....

...Let's see how long that stance lasts ;)

    Keep us posted,
