Works for me. But I didn't check out.

    three.ie: Galaxy S10 €859.99 (locked to three)
    Samsung.ie: €919
    Amazon.co.uk: £799 ~€933
    Amazon.de: €899

    eglobalcentraluk.com: £664.99 ~€777.05

I've never dealt with eglobalcentraluk... seems reasonable tho

Friend of mine has pee ordered the last 2 notes from 3 and neither of them were network locked so if you do order them from 3 you might be lucky

There are various threads on boards regarding eGlobal, some positive and some negative. They are shipped from Asia and can be hit and miss regarding shipment times (due to custom holdups). Can be a nightmare to deal with their pigeon speaking customer support as well. 600 - 700 euro is just too much money for me to risk buying from there and something to go wrong with the delivery

Apart from Samsung themselves is any of the networks or CPW doing a trade-in? Have an S6 that Samsung will give €150 for.

Tried PAIR yesterday just to see.

Offer 50 euro for an s8 as my screen is cracked.

CPW do trade in you can get an estimate off their site.

CEX is always an option. If you have a need for the credit you will obviously get more than taking cash.

Is there an option to pick colour of buds if ordering from samsung

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 16,860 ✭✭✭✭McDermotX

    Feck it.

Went for a S10+ 512GB. Going from a launch S8+ so been a couple of years, with nothing in the meantime really pushing me over the edge.

Don't think so. It's white in all promotions related to preordering outside of Samsung, so suspect the whites plastered all over Samsung's official page is probably legit.
Until the claim form clarifies later in the month to say for certain, I'd expect a white pair, but hope to be surprised.

The black ones don't look much really, unless you want yellow? :pac:

They wont ship them with the phone, but you redeem for them yourself afterwards within 30 days. No option on colour, white only as per t&c's

Ye be paranoid there's something different about the white ones compared too the other ones

Are they secretly weaker versions of the buds ?

My 10+ case arrived from Amazon. It's actually not as big as I was expecting. Not as big a chance from the S8 as I'd thought it'd be.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 8,813 ✭✭✭MiskyBoyy

Went to pre-order this is Virgin Media today and the guy told me if I wasn't with VM five months they'd charge me maybe 5-6 months in advance on top of the 250 up front. I didn't stick around to find out exactly how much but he said they didn't have a credit check system.

Anyone else try pre-order as a new customer with them, how much was it up front?

It's not hugely physically different from what I hear. Just more screen to body makes it feel bigger?

Hey all, anyone pre order this with three? I see the phone's release date is Friday week . Three aren't sure when I'll receive it. How does this normally work? Are they shipped the day before and we receive it on launch day or are they shipped out launch day and receive it a few days later ?

I've heard it's actually smaller overall than the S9+. Definitely not a massive step up in size for anyone on an S8/S9

Not sure if your being serious....?

I have tested the white ones and the sound quality is great. Much better than my Airpods. They feel more comfortable (for me anyway). The gestures are very easy to use, you can change the single tap, double tap, tap and hold etc.

They are better than airpods in nearly everyway, Bluetooth 5.0 so can use with other devices, wireless charging, cheaper price. I know battery capacity is less but early feedback is that they will last longer.
The one thing that I don't like about the buds, is the case. Feels cheap, plastic is light and nothing like a premium product or the Airpods case.

In some countries you cant even get them on preorder any longer, they are giving credit vouchers instead because of stock so keep your fingers crossed. :pac:

I've being considering getting a pair of wireless headphones for ages, the AKG headphones that come with the Note 9 are great though so I put off getting a pair, I'm torn between a set of in-ears or over ears, considering what a Samsung Geek I am I know I'll end up getting a set of the buds, especially as you can pair them to multiple devices so I can listen to sh1t on my phone/tablet/watch at the same time, but really I'll lose 1 and the kids will probably never let me have them anyway :pac::pac::pac:

To answer my own question. They wanted 489 up front and a lower monthly bill of 50 per month.

Harvey Norman in Naas has the 10 and the plus.

The plus is a beautiful phone. Absolutely outstanding display.

CPW in Dundrum has all three models on display.

As mentioned above, the S10+ screen is stunning.
I actually prefer the camera cutout of the S10+ to the camera cutout on the S10/S10E

    "Green & White S10 & S10+ devices now shipping on March 28th"

What's proving to be the most popular colour so?
Are people sick of black and ordering white and green for a change?

Personally I like the look of the white, and the way the front bezel is black as apposed to white. It's a freshing look, especially if you have a clear case so you can still see the back of it.

The colours are good across the board. I mentioned this earlier in the thread, they really have something for every taste.
Even the yellow which comes in the S10e only looks really good. The white is very nice, but a lot of the time it wont look white.
The prism effect will make it look the same colour as the top you are wearing. I said it earlier, that the black is also nice but has to be seen in person as the pictures don't do it justice.

The worst colours ironically are on the 5G models. I didn't like any of them.

I'd imagine they have gone through their pre-order strock and are now going to the next phase now, strange to run out of the buds though, must be big pre-sales going through

I pre-ordered earlier, im fairly sure it said by 8th of march, if you go back on site now it says 28th march, my order is currently being processed so hopefully i will get it for the 8th

I can't imagine it being much cheaper than buying one unlocked and dual sim direct from Samsung.

I also noticed that on the UK site the Samsung care + can be bought. Does that exist in Ireland?

On a side note, the update that allows the remapping of the Bixby button was released. I installed today on an S9+.

In the official range, the 'clear view' case looked about the best if you want something to cover the screen. Its not very robust but for most people it will be enough. It allows access to notifications, and answer calls etc while keeping it closed. Its not cheap but the only one that stood out to me.

Anyone considering the LED backcover I wouldn't. Can barely been seen in daylight. Plus you need to put your lovely screen face down even if its gorilla 6.

949 from VF and Three. Good chance of the phone being unlocked. 70e cheaper than Samsung and you can still claim the free earbuds.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 19,340 CMod ✭✭✭✭Davy

This one is particularly good, because of the light animation that goes around the camera punch hole.

Surely it has extended edges that lets you put it face down and keep the screen off the surface?
I hate cases that cover the screen. Only ever use bumper cases.

Good chance they'll be unlocked alright but without the dual sim option which is handy.

The Three phones are locked, you'll need to Top-up by €100 to request an unlock. I asked about it earlier with a Three Rep.

If it did, it was very small. To be honest I didn't look to much at the front, once I seen how poor the back LED's were I didn't look much longer.

I don't like cases that cover the screen myself, use my phone to much would just get in the way. I just mentioned the 'clear view' as it was the only one that stood out to me in the official range. The other bumper cases were nice (silicone, leather) but could get something very similar in spigen, olixar for half the price.

100% 8gb on retail models. 12gb if you go for the 1tb version.

There was a bit of confusion as some demo models had 6gb but was confirmed it was only demo models.
