Help with bike upgrade

I have a Specialized Sirrus https://www.specialized.com/us/en/sirrus-comp/p/37779



It's had 6 years of commuting and recently the rear derailleur hanger broke and wrapped the derailleur into the back wheel. The LBS got me a new hanger but told me that:
1. Front wheel needs replacing (rims are split)
2. Small chainring needs to be replaced
3. Chain and cassette need replacing
4. Rear derailleur could do with replacing
5. Needs new brake and gear cables

I'm buying a new bike on the c2w, so what's the best option for fixing this one up as a 2nd bike or to hand it off to someone in the family? I've no idea about compatibilty of parts, stay with SRAM or change to Shimano etc. Here's what I was thinking

Option (a): Replace bits with compatible 2x10 bits from SRAM or Shimano (whatever works and is not too expensive). Could anyone recommend suitable stuff?

Option (b): The bits above (minus wheel and cables) cost €130, so would I be better to just put a new groupset in e.g. SRAM NX 1x11-speed https://www.bike-discount.de/en/buy/sram-nx-1x11-speed-group-trigger-gxp-175mm-32t-643047 for €248
This is 1x11 and maybe cheap and rubbish and/or not compatible (I don't know if I need pressfit or GXP)

So looking for advice, is it all a waste of money? What bits would you pick?

It might be time for an upgrade to the latest model though, if it's 6 years old

Maybe a new back wheel with built in hub gear? Not sure how much overall that would cost - but spending 200+ on this wouldn't necessarily add any value if you plan on selling it - probably more than the bike is worth or close to it

Yeah it is/was a good bike, served me well... have a new bike on the way but it seems a shame to let this one go to waste. :-)

Hows your X7 drivetrain going, still in good shape?

yep... it's pretty much as good as new

Very solid bike I gotta say... fast as hell

The new C2W bike is a hub gear so have that covered :-)

Yeah don't want to spend too much, I might just end up doing nothing and just selling it for cheap. Was just interested in some expert advice on what parts would work and would be a reasonable price.

Damn, I knew I should have looked after it better

Although 90k / week commute for 6 years is pretty good I suppose, it doesn't owe me anything at this stage.

Yep I might do that thanks. Although the more I look at costs the more I think I might be better just selling it on.
