Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Porting

I received a new 30 Day SIM from eir and called 1905 on 5/2/19 to port my existing number over. After waiting 41 minutes, someoone eventually answered and she said the port could take 24 hours but is usally undertaken sooner.

Well, nearly 48 hours later, still no port. I called 1905 again to be told wait time is over 30 mins. However, after 5 minutes, the line gave 3 beeps and disconnected.

Rather than me wasting another 30-40 minutes of my time by calling again, is there sopmeone on here who can look into this?

    Thanks in advance.

In lieu of a reply here, I duly spent another 40+ minutes yesterday on hold for 1905.

After eventually getting through, I was informed that the porting request on Tuesday was unsuccessful as the original operator had failed to list the account as multi-line i.e. there were 2 mobile numbers associated with the account number provided. This was despite me informing her that there were two numbers.

Anyway, the guy I spoke to yesterday reckoned that he had put in another porting request and that the port would be done imminently. I explained that I had been told this on Tuesday and he replied that he would personally keep an eye on its progress to make sure it went through.

As of 8am today, some 20 hours later, still no port.

I'm not going to waste another 40+ minutes calling 1905 again. So, if I don't hear anything back from reps on here today, I will cancel the SIM
