Quick puff of air sound

    hi all have a fiesta 07 that seems to be making a sort of quick puff of air each time i go into 2nd and third gear,its like a quick puff of air each time i accelerate,lasts about 1 second,any ideas,does not seem to cause any driving issues,just annoying.:confused:

    Have a look and see is the pipe from the airbox still attached to the throttle body, they come off and can sound a bit like a whoosh

    Turn on the engine when you're taking a look. It should make it a bit more obvious if you have a air leak somewhere.

    You can also use a spray bottle with clean water and spray it all over the engine while it's idling.
    If you hear a difference in engine revs you have found an issue.
