You're looking at it the wrong way.

Somebody that plays any minutes whatsoever is a better choice.

    Crouch for example

Its only in weeks like this its an issue though. Its very rare my third striker (or third bench player will play). Either way they will get me 0 points.

I generally build up to a full playing bench for Christmas, downgrade to get more $$$ and then build up again for the BB using the second wildcard

Need a 4.0 starting goalie this weekend

Already have Ederson & Button, neither starting

Will Boruc & Hamer start? The former prob being the better choice

I would go Boruc over Hamer

Ricky to Maddison. Still not sure whether to build to 31/32 but liking their fixtures over next couple weeks regardless. Still thinking of Kun to PEA or Sane to Son for -4 as well

    Tempted by:
    Alderweirald to Lascelles
    Ings to Rondon (-4)

    Are Madison’s starts not unreliable?

Started the last 3 and 4 out of last 5. Looked decent last few games I saw him as well even though they lost. Was between him and Barnes who also looked good

Apologies fkr the noob questjon but im getting rid of ederson in goals this week.

What are my options for keepers who will have a double game week in future ?

    Madison always look good
    It hasnt translated into points

This is my big problem with building for gw 31
    3 Liverpool - easy
2/3west ham......Anderson ........Maybe Arnie but he will be injured by then . Fabianksi but I have Alison(won't rule out switching back though despite having made a heap of keeper transfers this season already)
2/3 Lecister - Perriera. Madison who is all **** and no fart. Vardy who takes up a valuable striker spot and is expensive compared to other options.
Everton - Keep Digne. Ricky gone off the boil. Siggy? Everton are bang out of form
Newcastle interest me from a defensive point of view only
Bournemouth - no defensive players anyway bar Boruc for future BB. Brooks if fit. King maybe
Burnley - possibly McNeil if I want funds but will he still have his spot......
    Hudd - no thanks

When you look at those options you would worry for the weeks in between good fixtures or not......

I currently have 6 players for GW31. Was trying to do a plan earlier for my 6 fts between now and GW31 and there are weeks where I'd have two fts but won't want to take out any of my United/Spurs/Wolves players for GW31 players just for the sake of using a transfer. So is wasting fts in the run up to GW31 also a viable strategy?!

This led me to looking at FH31 and building towards DGW32 but would be screwed for GW33 if I do that. Plus I don't like planning now for a GW that's 6 weeks away and is also after an international break. So much can happen between now and then.

    It's a headwrecker for sure.

Lads is Arnie a viable option again? West Ham have great fixtures and play in GW31. Looking at Aguero replacement, Auba the obvious choice but after 2 good fixtures not great

Llorente done alright for me but time to go. Can't look past Barnes at that price range right now for me. Bonus that his team has a game in 31.

Will wait to make sure Auba doesn't break his face Thursday.

I’m waiting on Auba in for Aguero too.

Contemplating taking a hit for Shaw out to Schar or Llorente our to Wood/Barnes. Not sure the hit is worth it but I want them for GW31 and like there fixtures. To hit or not to hit

With a Free Hit do I get to mess with the team until the deadline or is it one confirm transfers and then you’re set?

My obvious transfer is Aguero to Auba (c), but that doesn't fit in with the build towards 31, nor build towards the doubles strategy.

It would be a massive help if some of the rearranged games were announced before the deadline!

Kun is in such great from though. Would you want him straight back in for his next 3 fixtures?

Yep, thats the other issue! Also if the City v Cardiff game moves to GW32 hes a perfect TC option.

I have 2 FT and I am in the verge of doing this and reversing it next week
A lot of the other transfers I have in mind have too many permutations
I think I’m gonna keep it simple

    I need a captain

Do I dare go without Arsenal this week and bench Aguero in anticipation of the 3 upcoming weeks instead?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 6,083 ✭✭✭Chesty08

Does Aguero play the next 3 Gameweeks?

    Champions League 20th - Schalke - Aguero
Carabo Cup Final 24th - Chelsea - Jesus
    PL 27th - West Ham - Aguero
    PL Sat 2nd - Bournemouth - Aguero

    That's 4 games in 11 days.
7 day break and then 2 games in 4 days

    PL Sat 9th - Watford - Aguero
    Champions League 12th - Schalke - Aguero

    6 games in 21 days - Aguero plays 5 in 21

Think I am going to go ahead with the hit and go with Wood.
I think Wood is a much better goal scorer than Barnes, has started the last 7 games and scored 5. If Wood took the penalty the last day it would of been a no brainer.

I think the hit is worthwhile as I ultimately have to move Llorente on anyway as he may not feature the weekend (Kane potential return) and most certainly won't going forward so further points loss their.

I have looked at Rondon but the same applies with Barnes - not a reliable goalscorer

    KDB, Lucas Moura and Firminho

    to

    Son, Pogba and Arnie

    Anyone looking at Almiron?

I'm assuming he's had time to settle in at this stage..

Will prob go with F.Anderson anyway but could do with a mega punt coming off

I got him in in the Sky FF game. Definite potential there. You'd imagine he's ready to start games now, though I wouldn't be 100% confident on it

Yes IMO. 7 days off before West Ham, 3 days before Bournemouth, 7 before Watford and 3 before Schalke. Nothing there screams 'rest'.

Aguero may not play 2nd leg v Schalke as they can afford to lose by a goal and still go thru

Tempted to get in Vardy as he has a couole of nice fixtures coming up. Does anybody know if he's back in favour with Puel after their tiff a couple of weeks ago?

    Think it will be a - 4 for me;

    Laporte < Lascelles
    Camarasa < Anderson

A defender in a defensive team vs the worst attack in the league, and an attacking midfielder in an attacking team vs the worst defensive in the league, should hopefully work out. Will also be the first steps towards building a team for gw31 & gw33

Auba playing the full 90 tonight is not good. Makes captain choice a bit more difficult

Makes the choice between him and Lacazette even more difficult. Especially when its only a 2 gameweek move.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 10,969 ✭✭✭✭alchemist33

I can do Rashford to Lacazette for a hit, instead of the easy Kun to Auba. It has the advantage of not having to instantly reverse it next gw to get Kun in.

But tbh I'd bank if not for wanting an Arsenal captain this week. And are Arsenal that reliable, even home to Southampton?

I'm heavily in a conundrum also. I'm almost definitely making 2 transfers for 4 point hit, to bring in 2 strikers this week. Its Aguero and Ings out. The only question is which 2 of Aubameyang, Lacazette, Rondon and Arnautovic I go with.

If I go with Aubameyang it can only be with Rondon. If I decide to go without Auba after his 90 minutes tonight its any 2 from 3.

There is an added bonus to going with Rondon and Arnautovic and foregoing Arsenal altogether as I then am in better shape for GW31 when I won't be Free Hitting.

But the lure of captaining an Arsenal striker this week is attractive.

    Another note to self:

    I'm considering a -8 to do

    Sane out for Pogba

Jiminez or Rashford out for PEA

Richarlison out for a budget Midfielder (Jota if I sell Rashford or a 4.9 or less if I sell Jiminez)

I banked the hit this week, and now want to hold Aguero until he breaks :P

Will be waiting until after the Cup games anyway for injuries, plan on playing the Free Hit in GW31 so matches there are not really figuring into my thoughts.

Potential double GW in 32 seems like it would be easier to aim towards than getting close to 11 players in blank GW31

    Went with
    Out: Sane, Richarlison, Rashford
    In: Pogba, JWP, Auba

I'm going to the Southampton-Arsenal game Sunday, so captaining Auba may help with the inevitable heart ache. It's an easy move back to Rashford.

I was thinking Maitland-Niles over the break but he's ill now and was a major punt when fit. Went for JWP in MF, he's on set pieces, he looks to be nailed on, he should be. Southampton have a potential double in GW32 (I'm thinking Bench boost here) and a game in GW 33, he'll be bench fodder most other weeks.
He'll likely be my first sub this weekend, but would love him to come off the bench and score a winner :P

Feels great to get Richarlison and Sane away from my team.

    For a - 8!

    Quaner > Auba
    Sane > Hayden
    Digne > Pereira

Gotta spend money to make money!!

Original plan was Rashford and Richarlison out for Aubameyang and McNeil and then throw the captaincy on Auba. Like others have said I’m concerned Auba now won’t get a full game so I might still do the same transfers but captain Son instead. Tricky one to decide on

    I'm stuck between

    Ricky to Anderson

    Or

    Ricky to Barnes
    Rashford to laca
    For a -4

Not overly keen on a hit but it looks ok

    Head is fried. 2fts.

    1. Aguero to Auba bank other ft and reverse it next week.
    2. Digne & Ricky to Pereira and Anderson. Captain Son. Don't care about Everton having a fixture in GW31, just really want rid of these two.
    3. Rashford, Digne, Ricky to Auba, Pereira, Hayden for - 4. Captain Auba. Switch back from strong 8. Don't have the extra 0.1 for McNeil.

    Help?! :o
