Pulled into Marley park with family today and noticed a few full sus bikes on cars and bikers heading off.
I usually park at ticknock/blue light for that area. Are they heading in the ticknock/ballinascorney woods direction or is there somewhere else there worth checking out?

Also from the top Marley park car park how do you get into the trails from there?

    Thanks in advance.

Yes they are heading to Ticknock and further afield. You can go up past Kilmashogue or into Ticknock ( not Ballinascorney ) past Stackstown GC.

    Safer parking?
    More climbing/training?

Any particular reason why I wonder.

Parking around the foothills of the Dublin mountains is generally very limited, no secure parking in coillte forestry carparks and Pubs in the area don't allow parking.

Also people like to get a climb in rather than parking a car near the top.

Thanks I might give it a try from there next long spin. Anyone have any grief from Marley Park rangers for parking there?

None at all. It’s far safer than parking in most forest car parks and a nice warm up too.
