Anyone use one of these on their heating system and if so is it a job your granny could do to clean it out each year. Or does it tend to leak etc and best left to a plumber. I am thinking of getting one fitted but only if I can clean it out myself without any hassle or needing brute force strength:D appreciate your views.

There are some decent Youtube videos showing how to clean it, might be worth having a look to see what is involved.
