The UK would never agree to taking in an ISIS sympathiser ( who has military experience ). Hopefully she does not agree to the terms offered by the Irish gov. and remains where she is. One can only hope.

Apart from the 1000's they've already taken back.

    What?

Regardless of what your sibling has done, to say you wouldnt lose sleep at there death is troubling to say the least.

I would probably lose sleep at the shame of having a family member who willingly went to a foreign country, joined a death cult knowing the atrocities they committed and did nothing to stop it. Turned a blind eye to, nah fcuk her.

I know, i thought it was a case of haven't to take her back, but if the have to offer her terms to come back, well that is just gone beyond a joke.

Is there any decent article on the stuff she did over there? I know there was the interview ect.

After reading some of the comments from her father Jordy, they are already putting in the effort to rehabilitate her in the eyes of the media.

She should not be allowed to come home with a community waiting to shield her.

"What I will say is Lisa wouldn't hurt a fly and she is no danger to anyone," he told the Sunday World.

"She went over there believing she was going somewhere peaceful, like one of those farms the Quakers have in the States. But what she got was obviously very different.

l IS A needs to know that we don't want her back. It's plain wrong to send rangers to bring her back, she was able to get there and get on no bother when things were far more dangerous. Typical Ireland though, wasting resources on people who are least deserving of them.

Interesting quote from the Examiner; "However, reports suggest there are a number of complications with the case, including the fact it is not clear if Ms Smith is willing to meet certain requirements as part of her repatriation". Who knows how accurate the article is but she's obviously not the brightest if she doesn't have the common sense to play along. https://www.google.com/amp/s/amp.irishexaminer.com/breakingnews/ireland/reports-suggest-complications-in-bringing-lisa-smith-back-to-ireland-961527.html

At a time when we recently saw cuts to the training allowance for people with disabilities. This woman is going to cost the country millions over the next 40 years.

    Disgusting.

Maybe an "accident" might lead to her not returning to Ireland

Could anyone imagine the outcry in UK if it was found out the SAS were sent to Middle East to bring home an ISIS member and her kid.
BTW I am not saying our Rangers are on a par with a battle hardened SAS, but WTF is Leo the plank thinking if this is anyway true.

And also how the hell is he transporting military personnel that far, we do not have the military aircraft capable of such a mission and Ryanair only fly to Turkey during summer AFAIK.

No point and moaning about it online. Typical Irish mentality moan about it but do nothing :pac:

This Governments immigration policy is probably the biggest threat to this little island and they will still be voted in next time around.

I think it is time for more Peter Casey candidates that truly represent the Irish people.
Flanagan's attitude this week tells us all we need to know about what FG think of us.

I am not allowed discuss …

Other Country's have repatriated their isis members with sending in military units to collect them...so why is the Government sending in the Ranger's? There are plenty of commercial flights leaving Istanbul every day for Dublin, so the flight is not the problem. If she agree's to come home ( which now looks uncertain, and is something that the government should have confirmed before sending a team out ) All it would take is an escort from the Syrian / Turkish border where she is being held, meet with the Irish escort in the airport, and next stop Dublin.

    Because she’s a dangerous terrorist?

Sean O'Rourke Show now covering this...Tom Clonan is spoofing at the highest level possible to justify bringing her back. Embarrassing stuff.
It takes the lad out of the Mosque in Blanchardstown to talk common sense on the whole issue. That's how nuts we've become in this country,

What I'm not clear on is whether she's at risk of being targeted by someone.
    https://www.independent.ie/irish-news/isil-bride-lisa-smith-will-be-questioned-by-turks-before-she-is-allowed-to-fly-home-38657799.html

A two-man team from the ARW, who are highly trained in close protection duties, have been deployed to the region in the past week ahead of her expected return.
Anyway, it looks like the Turks want a word with her on the way home.

    Maybe that's the 'complication'.

The fellow in Blanch is from a micro sect that is considered heretical to most Muslims.

He got a kicking in Clonskeagh Mosque one time.

Fortunately, and vital for the success of this Ranger mission, Lufthansa have loads of flights during the winter. Their inflight food is better too.

The left really have fallen, crying about that poor austere brave Islamic scholar that was murdered in cold blood by that bad bad bad orange man.
And now the Irish left wetting themselves over this terrorist being welcomed back with open arms.

    disgraceful

It’s a long time since the left was the voice of reason.

The Turks have already "Had a word " with Lisa, as have the Kurd's, the Syrians, The American's, and even an Irish Journalist. ( and God know's who else, but for sure, she will have all the answer's ready for what ever questions are waiting for her in Dublin, assuming she decides to return ) No, that's not the reason for the delay. My guess is that she is trying to hammer out a deal for her future in Ireland. No doubt she has heard of the intention of the Govt to possibly charge her under the Terrorist Act ( which carry's a jail sentence ) Plus custody of her Child....there is quite a lot of things that might make Lisa opt for the devil she know's rather than an uncertain future here in Ireland. Basically, no one know's what is running through her mind now.
As for personal protection, had isis or anyone else wanted her harmed,,,,they would have had ample opportunity these last 12 mths or so, and not have waited until she was surrounded by people, primarily military or Police ( I'm not even talking about the Ranger Wing here.In my opinion, they are surplus to requirements in this case. This is not any reflection on their abilities, quite the opposite,,it's a waste of their time. ) On today's paper, the Govt say's that they hope to have her home in a few day's, or at most a few week's. So much for advance planning and prior preparation. But at the end of the day, Leo will make a big publicity event out of Lisa's eventual return ( IF she return's ) Complete with all the fanfare whistles and bells, and of course much will be made of the part the Ranger Wing played in this dangerous adventure.

Could they not have posted her over a phone and had a FaceTime convo with her about whether she wants to come home or not?

Turkish Airlines are pretty good too, every way, but you need to keep a close eye on the flight notification screen's in Istanbul Airport... they have habit of changing the Gate notifications at short notice, otherwise you could find yourself legging it the length of the departures area trying to find the new gate,

    Just another thought.

Is it racist to be unsupportive of her return?

  • Registered Users Posts: 2,130 ✭✭✭Immortal Starlight

I'd say that must have been a question that was burning through the minds of all the people beheaded by her pals.

Are there any updates on the recuse mission ?

She'll have to wait until Friday week for her cosy chat with Tubs on the LLS following the death of Gay Byrne.

    Very inconsiderate of Uncle Gaybo.

    From today's Independent's Ian O'Doherty Quote:
"It was a mistake to send the Army Ranger's to help Lisa Smith , but we are bound to allow her to return"
The head of the Irish Muslim Peace and integration Council, Shaykh Dr Umar Al-Qadri has said on Morning Ireland Program, that he is "shocked that the Government is expending such resources to bring Lisa back, and that it is extraordinary that they are using the Security Force's "
They are not expecting a quick result to this problem.Maybe because they are focused on getting her Daughter home to Ireland, but not so much Lisa? Would that explain the delay and "Complication's", I wonder?

Am Qadri comes from a tiny sect of Islam which are heretical to that faith.

LisaSmith's friends are trying to wipe them out as well.

Lisa's friends were hell bent on either killing or converting everyone in the World to their version of Islam, and that include's fellow Muslims, Christian's ( especially Christian's....their master plan included leveling the Vatican, and killing the Pope) And after that, The World. And the problem is....they might have lost their physical Caliphate, but the plan remain's.
