Baselayers

I am looking for some advice ref. base layers, I have numerous winter ones both short and long sleeve but find that they are bulky for wearing during the summer under my cycling jersey. I am looking for a thin base layer suitable for summer weather so any recommendations would be appreciated.

Rapha do a good one - if you can wait for a sale they tend to be reduced.

Castelli also have a mesh one - there was a good deal on the Team Sky site a few weeks ago

I have this from assos and find it excellent in spring and summer. It’s a little expensive but worth every penny. Even when you sweat it wicks it away from the body.

I've got this in navy blue and it is fantastic.

it does exactly what it says on the tin. Keeps you warm on a chilly day and yet you never seem to over heat with it.

for me, it wicks my sweat away, helps to stop me getting a chill on a descent after a climb. Stops me overheating.

Not a silly question at all and I say that as I'm trying to figure it out too...for summer use. I wear one at times in the winter to keep me warm but I'm usually very warm in the summer and the descents don't bother me because they are usually over quite quickly and my body temperature increase quickly afterwards.
