Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Utter rubbish. The sheriff goes by what he's told and if the debtee feeds him a load of bollocks, it's believed if nobody there contradicts it.

It will depend on the business.

€ 1,500 could certainly set a company back. A robust well run business should absorb the hit but it can make a difference.

If every radio station and business played no Irish singers and musicians 'work' on their premises would IMRO go outta business ?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 6,011 ✭✭✭DoctorEdgeWild

Shocking that this has dragged out this long, 20 minutes of an incredibly simple problem.

Most likely. IMRO is good for musicians that want to make a few quid when their music is played. But from what I hear it's not a lot.

What about if you have five live mourners and one half burned man in the crematorium? Could you at least stream the Burning Man festival for free?

What salary does this lad pull from IMRO?
That might account for the scale of charging.

There were a few championing IMRO at the beginning and whether they were singers is debatable. You might hear a song on the radio from them once or twice a year. The royalty cheque may have been one of those for the frame as they say.

The German printers get a cut out of that, too.

Yeah, and the German company that prints the book gets a cut as well, isn't that right Herr Duffy.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 21,886 ✭✭✭✭Roger_007

I'd love to see the details of the IMRO accounts. I'd say most of the money goes on salaries and 'expenses' with feck all going to the songwriters.
