Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Have the ISPCA any role in this?.........just wondering!
In Dublin, yes, and also the Blue Cross.

But deep in the countryside, I don't think so. I know my sister would never turn away a person with a seriously injured animal, nor would most vets. Even if they could bill the ISPCA, that's not exactly fair on the ISPCA either, and most are probably reluctant to do so.

But when it's a road safety issue, I think it's a no-brainer that professionals should be paid to remove a public danger.

I know this Ciarán lad, he's a former classmate of my sister. She's a vet and gets an unreal amount of people bringing injured wild animals to their practice.

But vets are not a charity, and euthanising and treating animals isn't cheap. There is no medical card for wild animals.

It's fine to do it as a once-off, but it is never a once off. And once word goes around that a vet will treat wild animals for free, everyone in the village will be bringing along every lost leveret and sickly-looking-swan for free veterinary care.

There should be some scheme for undertaking this work, when needed, which doesn't rely on the goodwill of professionals.

These injured animals shouldnt be moved at all.

Let them die in peace or find someone with a gun to finish them off. They could be carrying all sorts of disease too, another reason to just leave them where they are.

Did we not cover this IMRO stuff last week, I remember turning it off, it was so tedious, its still tedious.

some pubs cater for a younger , lively crowd and play load music. other pubs play no music. I prefer no music and go into bars that don't play music
