Import recommendations approx €15k

Hi all.

Hoping for some recommendations. Want to upgrade an 08 Audi a3, 1.9 diesel. Thinking might get 4k for it. Wife would like to go with another Audi. Looking at some A3 and A4s in the UK. Thinking petrol as don't do huge milage. Seen some 2016 A3 1.4lts around 14-15k sterling, which would be under 3k VRT. So would fit a net spend around 14-15k.

Any recommendations in that price bracket? Would I notice much difference between the engine sizes? Any decent alternatives with hybrid or electric?

The 1.4 TSI will be faster than the existing car.

You could look at a Lexus CT200h. The boot is smaller than on the A3 though.

In my opinion the current A3 is a bit of a letdown and I’m not sold on the reliability of VW turbocharged petrols. If you’re going the VAG route, a Golf Highline in the right colour is a nicer car than most A3s and while not cheap are usually better value.

There is the option of the Golf GTE too.

You could look at the volvo v40 r design nav. In petrol .very well specced car and you should pick up a 2016 low milage for 12500 stg
