Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Is Pogba actually lazy or does he just suffer from the Ozil lethargic running-style?

Great goal. Quality from Mata in the midfield build up.

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,414 ✭✭✭Toobz

We play some fast football with mata at CAM shame it’s only due to injury and not a mainstay

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 17,384 ✭✭✭✭Utopia Parkway

Neither Luiz or Alonso bothered to check what was behind them until the ball was nearly over their heads. Woeful.

What the fcuk was Alonso supposed to be doing there? Let Herrera have a totally free run at that cross.

  • Registered Users Posts: 532 ✭✭✭Spideog Rua

He knew what he was doing there.

    Filthy!!

Hazard with the play acting again

    Broken record again!

Close down Jorginho and you kill this Chelsea team. Higuain might be an option in a better side but he has so little pace and is being starved for service.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 60,924 ✭✭✭✭Agent Coulson

That hurt Hazard nice stud marks left on him.

    It was accidental but hurt.

45 mins for Sarri to save his job?

  • Registered Users Posts: 532 ✭✭✭Spideog Rua

    Waste of money

  • Keeper no chance, too much power

Great response from Utd after the CL game so far

Kepa should have done better with that however shocking from Chelsea all around.

Chelsea are all fur coat and no knickers.

Another magnificent cross for the second.

Pogba had Marquinhos as his shadow at Old Trafford but he looks untouchable tonight.

    Floppy wrists there

  • Moderators, Science, Health & Environment Moderators Posts: 7,146 Mod ✭✭✭✭pistolpetes11

75 million ...... for that keeper

United very good value for the lead ,

Chelsea slow and ponderous and very predictable in attack , Sarri I hazzard a guess is trying to save his job in the second half .

Decent power but he needs to be stronger there, should've saved it.

Chelsea are so poor at the back

    harsh enough analysis

one of the first lessons any kid gets in football is to direct headers powerfully into the ground at the keepers feet

    they are generally unsavable

No complaints from a United perspective with that first half.
Chelsea still have a lot of quality in their side, and with our defensive frailties we need to keep our wits about us.

    Glazers Out!

Mourinho looking like a bigger fraud with every passing game. It took a really bad manager to make Pogba look bad, but he did it.

Kepa gets a fairly easy ride for a player who cost over £70m, doesn’t he?

Honestly can someone tell me what Jorginho does? I haven't seen him play well in months.

    Zola to take over?

If he was doing that in a united shirt after that type of transfer he'd be getting crucified.

Looks like the Chelsea players will see off another manager by the end of the season.

It's because every team has cottoned on to the fact that if you man-mark him, you kill Sarri's style of football and so far the Chelsea manager has been unable to come up with anything resembling a plan B.

Look at Chelsea's early season form before times cottoned onto him and gave him the freedom to run a game, and compare it to now when everyone is just closing him down.

They have no protection, Jorginho cannot defend - their best defensive midfielder played out of position.

It's the one thing I honestly think Sarri cannot continue to defend this obsession with playing Kante out of position.

There are other bits and pieces but that's the most criminal of his decisions.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 21,495 ✭✭✭✭Mushy

    Lampard maybe.

Doubt they'll be lumping on Lampard so quickly. Looks like he'll need more time to become accustomed to management

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 10,725 ✭✭✭✭blueser

Over £70m for that keeper; seriously? He really should be saving that second goal. Although he's not being helped by that defence.
