    Play who we can

Bar saying that I think CJ might be resting isn't that what I said?

I think the IRFU will have a say in who from the 6Ns squad will be available for the two provinces for the final.

We could use some good news on the player contract front. Still plenty of players with contracts expiring.

Its nearly 3 weeks since the last batch of contracts were announced.

Should also find out more about Wycherleys injury today

Kevin O’Byrne has returned to full team training after missing out last weekend due to a chest injury.

Continuing to rehab: Fineen Wycherley (neck), Dan Goggin (hand), Neil Cronin (knee), RG Snyman (knee).

Disaster for Patterson, only got a half and a bit worth of rugby since his move and sounds like that's a potential long term injury.

not until next season, when McCarthy heads back north.

also Osborne just broke his hand playing for Leinster.

Next season as a replacement for McCarthy. Patterson was only temporary cover as we had two scrum halves in the 6N squad.

It's March, so it's to be expected. Generally after Christmas you'll struggle to get the most popular sizes. They're trying to shift the remaining stock to make way for the new gear coming in the summer.

Big opportunity for Healy, Crowley and Flannery to push on.

He's going to a great club, would loved to have kept him for another season at least but best of luck to him.

He'll be doing well to get many starts at 10. Lopez is still a fine player.

Best of luck to him anyhow.

There's reports in France that Lopez isn't too happy at the moment, he's been shut out by Brunel and he's getting flogged by Clermont, played pretty much all of their 19 games this season bar 2. And Azéma is moving on from the HC role this season so would be a fresh chance for JJ to put up a fight for starts.

Hopefully it goes well for him, always thought he could've picked up a couple of caps if things had played out differently.

This was probably JJ's first season since the u20s that he hasn't been injured.
He has had a very good season. Despite a couple of big misses this year his goal kicking is also excellent which could be an improvement for Clermont.

I hope it goes well for him. He should get a lot of games over there which would help his development. Not a bad way to spend a couple of years. Pick up the language along the way.

I think Munster probably wanted to retain JJ given his current spot on the depth chart but I imagine a two year deal wasn't on the table. That would have probably forced one or two of the young players out.

It's a great move for him and hopefully it's a win-win for all parties with Crowley/Healy/Flannery stepping up.

Its surprising that a great Club with great ambition like ASM would want to sign a spectacularly average player like Hanrahan.
