    We have mortgage approval from
    Bank in condition e get mortgage protection
    Broker came out Monday night I got though with standard rates but husband Gp been sent a questionnaire he has controlled blood pressure but on three tablets for it he had gall bladder out in 17 and two lumps removed behind his ear removed they were non cancerous and he has a bad back.
    Broker says not to worry but we have been saving for 8 years for this house and we are worrying any experiences of something like this is it normal to go to GP

    Perfectly normal, don't stress.

    If you're in any way out of "the norm" (e.g. past surgery, overweight) they send you for a medical. The worst that can happen is that they decide you (or the husband, in this case) is a slightly higher risk, and your mortgage protection insurance is a bit dearer than the original quotes you got. You won't be rejected, just might have to pay a bit extra each month.
