    Hello All,

Could any of you please explain to me why the two are not equal and also why accounts that have Nil balance show up in the TB ?

Is it balance sheet or profit and loss codes that don't match? Could it be that the op balance is in the trial balance but not the nominal ledger report?

    What software are you using?

Depending on the package you are using there may be a million different reasons.

As a very broad stroke response I would guess that you are running a. Transaction report for one and an actual report for the other.
