Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

In fairness, it is possible to overrun a pass. But Stockdale didn't there. Should have been floated and more sideways.

Murray did well to finish that off.

Will joe make changes now with bp on table or be too wary to risk loss?

Is Joe hoping Murray will play himself into this game, he has been our worse player.

Me and Joe on the same page

What's the point of having Cooney on the bench if Joe is not going to play him.

He's looking for Murray to find his form.

Traore should be in the bin there.

Perfect time to bring Cooney on now

Henderson has been huge since coming on. He's going back in for France undoubtedly.

Our lineout success is only 70%.

It's not good enough that Toner gets injured and we just resign ourselves to being way below test level

Murray gives us the BP. What a great turn up for the books.

    Well TG for that.

Obvious I know but we really need to run in a few more tries with the time left, points difference is very poor at the moment

Murray is such a lovely kicker

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 6,201 ✭✭✭troyzer

The shot of Murray's left arm during that conversion.....

    He looks emaciated.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 17,076 ✭✭✭✭vienne86

    Good kick.

Do Italy deserve a yellow there? Dangerous taking the jumper in the air(surprised ref let the maul continue to be honest) and then infringements all over the place to stop the maul.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 12,279 ✭✭✭✭MadYaker

At least his kicking game is good :pac:

Good for Murray. He's had a poor outing but a good seven points scored for him just there.

Killer or Dillane in with a shout you'd think. I think if Chris Farrell makes a big play like a match winning score you could see him in with a shout

Murray, Murphy, Kearney, SOB, Cronin are not at the races at all today. Big chunk of the team not hitting their straps there

Not sure why picking out Kearney? He hasn't done much wrong apart from cleaning out a player but he got away with that

Cronin lost 3 line-outs in the first half..it's better now

Thank Jesus for that. Working way too hard to get that BP but bloody glad we have it

Earls and OMahony the only ones to play to form

Why is murray kicking and not sexton?

  • Registered Users Posts: 11,067 ✭✭✭✭martingriff

I know Murray is an able kicker but Carty must be going why am I hear. I know if all was going to plan he be on by now but sometimes you have to think does Sexton need to come off in view of games to come

To be fair, I think he wants to see Murray try and play through what is clearly a tough time for him. He's not on form. I'd say he hoped Murray would have a better game initially before bringing Cooney on for the last 20.

That said, id like to see Cooney get a run

He was poor. Was slow chasing back To kick through that lead to the try, not great under the high ball (a couple knocked on), and was like a turnstile for the second try.

Harsh comments on Dillane, one mistake but way more positive over the game so far, he had a huge hit on Ghiraldini there.

Farrell has tried to take the game by the scruff of the neck too, in fairness to him.

Murray could help himself somewhat by not competing at the breakdown
    He is ultra brave

Cooney on, lets see what we can do now....

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,816 ✭✭✭Utah_Saint

The video review will be brutal for the team. Suppose coaching team also need to take responsibility. It's not a one off

Haven't read through the thread but pretty sure he's put in a huge defensive shift, will see but reckon he'll be Ireland's top tackler.

Hope people will realise that the lineout problem is with the calls rather than the hooker.

Scannell's lost as many as Cronin.

We are missing toner and Ryan there, henderson is the only other test level jumping lock. You could carry beirne, roux, dillane against a weak lineout but not without toner. Obviously pom does a lot but he can't be the primary garaunteed option. Toner is vital for us.

Good defence there by Ireland....at last.

a touch of the "Podge & Rodge" about this one.
well we certainly wont be burdened by the favourites tag going into the WC after this performance.

One or two mistakes but plenty of good tackles

    He was excellent in defence.

Collectively in first half the forwards were quite poor bar the two props

Send Murray back to Munster for the rest of the tournament and let Marmion and Cooney duke it out.

    Scannell off. Bummer.

Jesus, ITV don't half patronise McKinley.

The guy wants to be known for his rugby.
