    Some fantastic photos on here.

Trail cams seem like a neat thing to own, but I find many of the images quite lackluster. Anyone with experience with them know how to get the best out of them? Does the cost of the cam matter too much?

Trail cams are not designed for picture quality, rather than activation speed and working in the whole spectrum of lighting conditions without settings being altered. The have to be waterproof, shockproof, windproof and take video as well as still pictures, in infrared, and in all different lighting conditions ... all in a relatively unexpensive package. Having said that I have pictures from some cheaper cams that are brilliantly sharp and some from expensive cams that are pretty awful. It's the Busnell series that have disappointed me the most, and the Acorns have beenthe best despite a short shelf life.

    TT

I have found over the years that a good quality picture is almost always by accident
