Always a bit careful when identifying Curlew and Whimbrel but fairly sure this is a flock of Curlew this evening before dusk on the Kerry coast, maybe 40- 50 or so in total.

Also one of a pair of Chough and a Ringed Plover.

This guy was up on the car roof tapping and picking to get our attention as we were eating a sandwich in the car at the Wetlands Tralee today, with the phone on selfie mode stuck it out and he duly came over for his portrait.

Delighted to photograph a Barn Owl this evening on the Kerry coast. Light was Low so using a high ISO and a bit far away so not very clear but still good result.

Spotted a ringed Oystercatcher last week , contacted two ringing projects, one in Scotland and one in Iceland , turned out to be from Iceland and duly entered into their database.

Spotted the same bird this evening along with a content Sandwich Tern happy to be in the company of the relaxing Oystercatcher's.

A few pics between the showers in Tralee Bay early evening.

Muddy Oystercatcher with a lugworm I'd reckon, young Rockpipit, Black-headed Gull in winter plumage and Little Egret.
