Nice hotel / restaurant for a get together?

Meeting some cousins over from England at the weekend in Limerick.

Neither side know Limerick very well, and we're looking for somewhere like a nice more upmarket hotel where we could sit and linger and chat, get a nice lunch or evening dinner and generally just somewhere quiet and relaxing and conducive to conversation.

Onsite parking would be a big bonus. Don't want to have to use multi storey car parks and someone will be there with limited mobility.

So we'll probably be looking for somewhere outside of the city centre?

Anywhere in the outskirts would be fine, or even out as far as Bunratty or similar.

    Any suggestions or recommendations?

The Strand is your best option imo, but the car park is an underground one. The Manor in bunratty also good

Raddisson might also be a good option.

No.1 Perry Square hotel, small enough bar / lounge area but if you pop in beforehand & ask, they may reserve some tables especially if ordering food, the best ones are facing the People's Park, nice food & coffee, their restaurant upstairs, Sash, is very nice too, don't think there is onsite parking but pretty sure there is a disabled spot just outside but you can usually get parking pretty close by

We're in there from time to time & always enjoy, whether it's just for coffees & scones, lunch or an overnight with a visit to the spa.

No1 Pery Square is very nice, The Strand hotel also is very nice. The Absolute hotel would also be good & has a lovely setting along the river.

The Curraghgower is a bar/restaurant with parking at the side. Its along the river with a lovely setting overlooking King Johns Castle, and you can sit inside or outside. Food and drink are all very good, highly recommend .
