P0335 (Crankshaft Position Sensor) Fault in Toyota Rav4 2008

    Hello,
I'm having trouble diagnosing what is triggering this fault on a Rav4 2008. Having cleared the fault, the engine light comes on about usually 10 minutes after driving and it's always this P0335 fault. The sensor, wiring and reluctor ring have all being checked and are all fine. (The sensor has also been replaced)

There are no other symptoms and the car is runs perfectly even when the engine light comes on but obviously I can't use four wheel drive mode and I don't want to keep driving around with the engine light on!

I've also noticed that check 4x4 system message; always comes on first and I'm wondering is this related to the P0335 error?
Please have look at this video https://youtu.be/FK-zjFOT2Ao
    Thanks for any help

Hook the oscilloscope and look the waveform.
Idle rpm are bit too high

P0335 in chain driven petrol toyotas can sometimes be caused by stretched timing chain and/or tired chain tensioner.

Thanks for that. The idling is level is normal for a cold engine and settles down after a few minutes.

I’ve no other symptoms of a slipped chain/ timing issue. No loss of power, engine starts and runs smoothly every time without fail.

I’ve since discovered that after clearing the fault code, it only re appears when making a left turn at around 15km/hr or above. There’s no problem on the straight or with right turns, yet it reappears every time without fail when a left turn is made, once the wheels are moving. Any ideas what could trigger this?
