Seems like I'm not the only one with massive performance issues on the PS4 Pro. The Visual setting is almost unplayable for me.

Hopefully they can patch it better

Haven't tried on resolution setting, I went straight for the Performance setting. Haven't had any issues other than the Echo Menu being a bit slow due to the animation of the character when transitioning between menu options.

    It's bad on all consoles

I'm on the one x and it's shoddy performance wise, disappointing

It uses unreal engine 4 so no excuse from a performance / optimization point of view. Look at gears 5 as an example. Same engine, better looking game and the performance is rock solid with much higher resolution

I really need to ask. How do you get through so many games? Do you not sleep and live on Red Bull

How are your builds working out?

Im running FL4K with mostly green tree which let's me turn invisible for 3 shots. Pretty handy but leaves me feeling pretty underpowered outside of it.

I've Moze with a bit of everything, the Cloud of lead skill is nice when using sniper rifles and pistols and I'm going with dual mini guns so I can switch to the other when the first overheats.

Going to respec later as their are some other things further down one of the trees I want to get at and try, like Specialist Bear

I'm using the rail gun with the chain effect and the grenade launcher with +36% dmg on direct hits. I could take or leave the grenade launcher though, but the rail gun is nuts, it bounces around and wrecks anybody nearby yer target, so i usually go tank when on a big mob and just spam the rail and grenades at it and the rail shots just wizz around and take care of anybody around the boss or near me..

This is something like the build im rocking:

    https://bl3skills.com/gunner#000000000000003200000000000142340103000

Id be tempted to try out the flame thrower over the launcher but the deadlines talent maxed is incredible, it makes the tank time last aaaaages, comparison to without anyway.. And grizzled helps with the rail gun cooldown..

I dont think i could drop the rail gun tree for anything, +51% gun damage increase constantly, lighting people on fire when i land a headshot..

Now in saying that, i have barely looked over the other trees and im sure they have sick talents that work just as well together, being able to run and shoot is one of the talents which caught my eye, would make shotguns incredible..

And yeah, thumbs up on the music, one of the radio signals i hijacked started belting out a sick 8bit tune, it was pretty short though :(

    Oh and anybody think the
    Atlas attack missions
were heavily influenced by the Thor Ragnarok movie?

Get the passive to make it last for its duration at the cost of crit damage reduced by half. It's OP with a Jacob's weapon with the ricochet bullets on Crit flying everywhere, clearing out rooms with it. :p

I'm running Amara under the Mystical Assault tree, gives stacks of Rush which increases action skill damage and element effect chance for each stack of rush when using the action skill, and also there's a great action skill cooldown of 25%. Mainly aiming for the capstone in this tree which will increase the amount of Rush stacks I can utilise, increase their effectiveness and can use the action skill during its cooldown (resetting the cooldown by doing so). Means you can pretty much throw it out twice very quickly and still have the same cooldown rate. Still a good few points/levels away from there though.

It's working out well so far anyway. Can still use the action skill a lot even without the capstone skill as it has probably the quickest base cooldown in the game I think, even before the 25% reduction skill, and it does decent damage. Also shock-based which pretty much eliminates shields.

Not the most exciting of builds or action skills though. If anything right now it's just a bit like throwing out a really strong grenade. Plan to go through the Brawl tree once I have this one capped. If the Melee skills are working out, might re-spec and go for a melee build for TVHM.

  • Still waiting for that "killer gun" if you know what I mean

I am enjoying the more linear style of the main campaign

I've noted the game keeps popping up with game updates, must be server side??

A message will pop up and say do you want to apply updates, if you hit yes it brings you back to main menu

I came across someone who sounded like Trevor Philips from GTA V.

Leveling in this seems faster than previous games? Hit 30 last night. Not far into Edan 6.

I'm level 10. Yesterday evening I done the mission
where the guy blasts damage from the speakers
it's the first story mission in the second area.

Yeah defo, speaking from my recent experience with part 2 anyway, theres less missions but you get more bang for your...bang.. Completing a mission give a load of xp..

However you seem to be a good bit higher than i, i just started Eden-6 myself, just finished the rescue
    Hammerlock
quest and im only lvl 25.. I've done every side quest ive come across.. Whats yer secret? :pac:

I was the same up until I got a Molten-Vicious-Lyuda sniper from a weapons chest in Lectra at the end of 'Proof of Wife'. It's level 13, I picked it up when I was 16 and now at 19 it still pops heads unbeliebly well. I picked up a lvl 14 Tamed-Night-Hawken SMG on Athenas, again a random drop, and it's melting everything. Up until those 2 yeah it was minor upgrades.

I did drop into a few co-op games and killed bosses, but that was maybe 3 or 4 games. I have been doing all the crew challenges in each area before moving on so those are good for XP too.

Rolling in cash now too, found a nade that homes and gives cash per hit and it hit 3 times (Money Jump Jumper Tracker). Also got a legendary sniper (compressing storm) that splits into 4 balls on impact that hover above the area and shock everything in sight.

Got a vanquisher SMG too but it's pretty much a bog standard dahl one with double rate of fire when sliding.

If you use the code CLAPTRAP30 you can get the Super Deluxe for €70 or the base game for €42.

Don't blame me if its not working anymore :D

Theres a few of those , the
    Game of thrones
was a pain in the arse. Not because it was difficult but they were serious hard to hit.

Finally have the ability to smash the eridium chunks I've found all over the place, so will see what weapons I can get from Crazy Earl now. Find myself relying way too much on my Jakobs pistols, but it's just so damn good. Enjoying the story too as predictable as it is.

  • Seems like Borderlands 3 on PC is doing really well sales and player wise, despite the moaning about the Epic store.
I'd nearly bank on the folks moaning and pretending to boycott the service still purchased it anyway.

  • Registered Users Posts: 13,409 ✭✭✭✭gimli2112

I've been using Jacobs pistols a lot and just met Jacobs himself. Can't get on today withdrawl starting to kick in. I love this game. I love the Siren. When I
thought Lilith was going to be killed
I nearly flipped out then they went
    and killed Maya
man that hurt, hurt real bad

major spoilers read at your peril.

Anyone farmed the Loot Tink in Jakobs estate? Did 5 runs last night and got squat but by all accounts this works great at Mayhem level 3

It went from 125k in borderlands 2 to 250k for borderlands 3. Not exactly earth shattering numbers.

The game itself looks bang average to me. Never really got the appeal of borderlands games despite numerous attempts to get into them.

This looks just like more of the same and poorly optimised to boot.

By all accounts if you enjoyed the other games in the series you'll enjoy this one. If it's not your type of game then fair enough.

According to Randy the PC release has been a success.

"Fun Fact: On PC, the data is that the launch day peak concurrent players of Borderlands 3 is about *twice-as-high* as the all time peak concurrent players of Borderlands 2. WOW! You guys are great!"

Just read that unless you're on Mayhem modes (Mayhem 3 specifically) the chances of getting him or him having guaranteed legendaries is substantially reduced. Only at the point in the story where I can go to Eden-6 but might not even be able to play again until Thursday or Friday, so wouldn't be surprised if it's patched or hot-fix'ed by that stage anyway. Ah well. Bound to be some areas/exploits like that in the game anyway, like the 4 Loot Midgets in the Wildlife Preservation in BL2 exploit for Pearlescent weapons.
