Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Disco better on emissions than a Clio....

Apologies if done already, I searched but couldn't find anything on it.

Just one thing to keep in mind here...these are new diesels according to Euro 6c/d-temp regulations. This means that they have to have some form of adblue system nox filter and a dpf to achieve these values.

Yer old daysul from a few years ago is still a stinker. So if you want to be environmentally conscious you have to fork out a lot of money for a new car.

I always got the impression that SCR wasn't really feasible on small diesel cars, maybe down to cost, space/weight and other factors?

Almost guaranteed that the Dicso use Adblue and the Clio doesn't. It's all about cost cutting to use a NOx trap instead of SCR. As of Ford: I was really surprised at the time of launch to hear that the 1.5 TDCi still uses the former and the results unfortunately speak to themselves. When you are poor you are poor and every saved penny helps: Ford as a company is not doing well from liquidity point of view at the moment.
